New Axial "working on something fast"

Here's a photo of one of mine. I've run it hard with a Holmes 19T Double in my Wraith on 3s, doing some sand bashing on the beach, and it got very hot, 180 according to my cheapo Duratrax temp gun, but never shut down.

Edit: Would like to add that this is not as smooth in low speed power delivery when compared to the Castle based Axial ESC. Seems like the switching rate is not as fast.

Drag Boat, Jet Boat, Jet Ski, 1/8th something... doubt it.
All the other predicticions aside, I doubt itll be IFS... Do you know what happens when you put 2.2's on an EXO IFS?
I would expect a Low Slung Chassis, Short nose, long tail w/ rear tire carrier, running 90mm shocks up front and 105's in the rear, suited to use the wraith Lower pan.
Itll be skinnier than a wraith cage and more Ultra4 pronounced, interior minimal too.
But believe it will have Ar60s front and rear, Wb8s and Wraith Tranny. NO doubt.

Looks like a smaller version of the exo...

The deadbolt's new slipper design looks a lot like a bigger version of this (spur gear from the above vehicle) :

They are using the same basic esc as mentioned above in the thread in the deadbolt...

Their radios are compatible with flysky/exceed radios...

I think that with the hobbico aquisition, there's been a lot of shared engineering between these manufacturers...

This leads me to think that the new "go fast" will be something along the lines of something that Tacon / Exceed / Mad Gear / etc makes. It won't be a direct copy, I'm sure, but I would not be surprised if they shared some similar parts at least.

I'd be down for an axial/tacon rig.

Holy crap I LOVE the design of the Cavalry buggy. They actually improved immensely on the craptastic design of axial's "tube" chassis designs making it simple to service and change batteries. Pure fawking genius.

Both good input....interesting...

Hey everyone..

I still don't know what KOM is referencing with the "switching rate" he mentions at the end of his post. Would someone please enlighten me?

I've been highly considering getting one just to mess around with. If the RC fund ever has a surplus to cover it, I might...

What the Exo should have been! "thumbsup" I'd buy that....wait I still might buy that! "thumbsup"

Me too!

Do it! I like it!

Im going to laugh my happy ass off when Venom, Losi, Vaterra or even crap ass Redcat beats Axial to something that will turn a new road that people will follow. I will laugh even harder when Traxxas beats em to it!!!!

We have enough SCX10 versions, Didnt need more than 1 Wraith version, easily could have undun the Exo, and for god sakes make a more durable MOA kit out of box!!.....

IMHO I think Axial is dumbfounded at the drawing board, obviously... Jeep this, Jeep that, oo Jeep kit or oo oo Jeep RTR, might as well start their operations over with the first AX10 & SCX platform and not do ANYTHING the same over n over n over again....

Disapointing.....

Probably Sent Sitting On The Toilet...

If Axial wanted to wow me they would try their luck at a true feeling 1:1 scale truck that could compete with RC4WDs TF2,G2 or even Tamiyas Hi-lift platform rigs.

Not sayin you need to BLOW MY MIND, but at least let me build one of your kits and actually need to read the instructions to complete it, instead of being able to build it from memory.... I wanna read n build, instead of flipping to the back pages for the decal placement page lol!!

Dunno what you lot thought would happen after Hobbico took over, of course it is going to be cookie cutter shit, to bring in the money:lmao:

Seems some of the nutswingers forget that, and we as customers have every right to bang on about the current shit they are releasing these day"thumbsup"

Axial did a lot of good for the sport, also brought a LOT of nuffies into it as well:ror:, it will all be good in the end:mrgreen:
