I'm wanting to build a purpose mud truck and wanting some more ideas. Post up pics and running gear, LET'S SEE THOSE MUDDERS!

What electronics are you running? I'm not sure on wheel and tire combo yet but I'm thinkin w the clod body prob under 5 inch. I'd like some plow boys or cobras both super narrow.

here's one I built

specs.....first off I will say this rig was built more so for looks than actual speed.

aluminum scale chassis rails

loaded and locked TLT axles

leaf sprung rear with traction links, radius armed front with coils and empty hightlift shocks

rc4wd r2 trans

1.9 cut boggers on 1.9 axial beadlocks w/MTHead rings

cheap servo for steering

cheap Tamiya silver can 540, AE2 esc, on 2s

and like I said, it was built more for looks than busting a mudhole WFO!

Old one. Wish I never sold it.

Wheely King based. 3s. Cheapo brushed xl5 with cheapo closed can motors. The little guy flew (and was surprisingly indestructible).

Cool lookin truck! Which closed motors

Here's my mega. It's Crawford Performance Engineering (CPE) Barbarian based using Axial AR60 axials and an SCX10 transmission. I'm running Billings Custom Workz chopped clodbuster tires and CPE axial to tamiya adapters to run them. I'm currently running both open diffs by using HPI wheelie king internals. For power I have a Castle 4600kv system.

And how it's currently sitting.

Here's a few shots of other trucks from our first mud race:

Sweet! Keep ' Em coming! Like to see what all is under the hoods though.....I know how some of yall racers are keep in things under wraps!

I was running a 7t puller and brxl but then swapped out for a vxl, drive train is bullet proof. But it has since been remolded to a trail truck.

How did you like the rc4wd tractor tires?

I'm on the hunt for some tractor style tires that will fit on 2.2 beadlocks. My thought is to run Vxl and titan motor but seems price wise the hpi may be the way to go!

I like that you asked everyone to post what running gear they have and not one person has. ;-)

And I like that while you have a mega truck you posted without bothering to actually talk about it or include a pic. :flipoff:

My mega blazer.

As it sits now till I get the right 14mm adapters to run the above pictured tire/wheel combo.

Neither pic is current as I've changed the rear link/shock setup but it flat out works. :D

It's running a solar 772, SV3/5700 4 pole Castle setup with an all metal geared ax trans, MIP's, AR60's with craptastic alloy axial knuckles and C hubs and universal shafts. It's a fawking HOOT to drive, my absolute favorite rig to go bash on since the exo has taken to eating ring & pinions every damned run with the new motor & esc setup.
