I love my Subaru.. But.. If I could find a EVO, I would rather one of those..
Only ones I can find are 2006-2008 for 30k$ cause they went fast and the furious style with it!

It would of took me longer then that to forgive you! Lol...

The Forester XT with 5 speed is soooo rare!
I looked for one for about a year before I finally admitted defeat and bought the WRX.
Shoot, now I'm mad at ya for trading it in for a mini van!

Rare or expensive! Mize well buy a wrx at the cost I have seen them at..

New2rocks.. It took my wife a few yrs (and counting) to get over me Not trading in my Harley, on a mini van! Baahahahaha..

I said hunny, "that bike was here before you and it will be here after you "... Oops.. Lol

Don't buy a turbo Subaru...don't do it... Trust me... It seems like an awesome idea and then you'll wanna turn it into a pretend race car and then guess what happens next ? Kaboom...
Reasons to by an XT instead of a WRX, STi or Evo:
1. The look on the face of the 50-something year old whose Boxster S you smoked off the line with two bikes on the roof of your Forester
2. See reason #1

Reasons I love my wife:
1. Insisted on the 5-speed and the turbo boost gauge when we bought her XT
2. When asked after test driving 330ci and M3 convertibles which one I should get, she said, "You gotta get the M!"
3. 7 years in with the Odyssey, she still asks about the feasibility of putting in an LS about twice a year

I think there may be other reasons, but I've forgotten them. Those are enough for me. "thumbsup"

BTW - Has anyone thanked Kaiser for starting this delightful Subie thread, albeit in the wrong section of the forum? Maybe I'll send him a box of chocolates now that he was kind enough to give us his address.

I have an opportunity to grab a subaru xt 2.5 5spd fozzy with 120,000 miles on it and has a bunch of stuff done to it,but its that mileage+motor why im gonna let it go.

But thank you 1badjeep!!!!!!!!! You helped me make up my mind"thumbsup"

If you check it out insist on a leak down test. Also at 120k be prepared to buy a turbo...

There are a bunch of subies that run autocross up here. One of them is just plain angry! I think he started with an rs and built the balls out of it. He runs big fat slicks on 18" wheels and when it comes on boost in the straights you can see a whisp of smoke coming off all 4 tires as it gets loose.

yeah... but they drive Accord's!
That's like getting barked at from a puppy.

What wrong with Accords? They get great gas mileage. I thinking I would only have to fill.up twice. . .maybe three times max. . .on my way to Ontario Ca.

if gas mileage is more important to you than enjoying what you drive then nothing.

I love my '14 Accord(my first Honda)... though it's the big-boy version. Coupe, v6, 6spd, nice power mods, light-weight rims. With 2 of the 3 cats removed(not the meow-meow kind), no mufflers, with a resonator added.. sounds like a Gtr. It rolls out quite nicely. I didn't get mine for the mileage. 26-28 mpg tops.

I've had fun with STI's.

And I miss my Subi.

No problem, any questions on them just ask. I know quite a bit about them. My car was bone stock and I built it into the shit wagon you see now :lmao:

It'll be fixed this year...getting a base map and that's it...done with it. Go fast is the chevelle and when the Subie is paid off next year I'm selling it and importing an 89 or 90 Nissan GTR skyline. RHD like a bosssssssss

Your wife doesn't even need an LS anymore.

Putting 1000HP in a FWD minivan is like putting an elevator in an outhouse; it's there, but where ya goin' with it?

Bullshit.

Why's that ? They are federally legal to own now under the 25 year rule. And they aren't even that expensive. They can be had for 10-20k pending condition. My car once running again, and by that time should be worth about 14k. I either want he GTR or for a little less but with more JDM awesome goodies I would settle for an s13 Silvia.

Why we're they illegal to own? Didn't know they we're.
