Axial rr10

and a halfway decent shitty transmitter.
I actually quite like the TTX300, nice and light and only needs 4 batteries. Fell on my ass on the rocks a couple weeks ago and mine flew out of my hand and landed in a puddle, shook the water out and kept crawling  For $35 it's great for simple rigs.

I'm already noticing that the steering servo isn't up to the task. I can use the motor/esc in my SCX10. The tx/rx seem pretty good to me. Of course, I'm used to the SCX10 RTR setup. I feel like the RR10 RTR is a good deal especially if you are a Tower super saver club member. No kit will have the cool painted body panels either.

That's why I added halfway decent to that statement :ror: You are correct it isn't a bad transmitter, my son has one he uses with his deadbolt and it is pretty nice.

Cheers,
Wade

I'm going to hold out just to see what is included in the kit (maybe). If the kit items don't appeal to me then I might just get the RTR, I'm already thinking proline shocks so the kit shocks most likely would go also. Sigh......So Axial hurry up with the kit so I can compare before Christmas lol. But I highly doubt a kit will be available before the New Year.

Cheers,
Wade

... How long do you think it will be before a RR10 KIT is available ? :ror:
Thanks
Smitty

When I was contemplating getting the RTR or waiting for the kit I did some research on time between Axial's past RTR and kit releases. The time in between varied quite a bit but was on the order of 3-5 months. So if history is any indicator, the kit won't be released until spring.

The graphics sold me on the RTR. Unless FreqE makes some badass skins to match other 1:1 Bombers, I'm keeping this thing exactly as it is graphics wise. How many of us replace parts on kits too? Almost everyone I'd bet.

Front MIP is a hassle. Too long with the wraith trans end, swapped to two short ends. Hits the rx box, binds on the rx "snout". It is what it is, I'll let it self clearance.

For the guys that haven't received theirs yet, here's another video. I threw the stock motor back in. I got it up to 10mph on 3s.

Yeah..... Not much of a rock racer out of the box. It makes the trailing arm for speed comments look silly. I really want someone to overpower the little beast and take some video for us. I am hopeful that it will shine when real power gets laid down. How great would a 3 way race between a yeti, wraith, and bomber be? I would watch it quite a few times 8)8)

Fast and low. At least I hope it's fast... still dark outside. "thumbsup" Needs more spring rate in the rear, pulling out the box of springs now

I like that stance. A lot. I may do that tonight... I have some modded trx bigbores that will produce a similar ride height.

thanks for the side profile pic.

I stuck a 3100 KV Roc 412 in mine. Its fast. Torque twist is crazy. One front wheel up when I hit the throttle. I'm bummed that the centered SSD axle I have wont bolt right in because it seemed to help with the torque twist on my Yeti and Wraith. I did swap in underdrive gears in the rear last night but I didn't get a chance to run it.

I bet that we see a bouncer in the near future. One benefit of the big corporation is $$ to develop new product.

I feel we'd need to see a big rise in "RoC Bouncer" style comps before we see anything like that.

A Bomber Spec class would be super sick! "thumbsup"

Got the transplant done last night!

Now its awake!!! I rotated motor mount to get motor low as poss almost 1/4" lower! SHOCKS NEXT"thumbsup"

Some of you don't waste any time. Please let us know how fast your RR-10 runs and how well it crawls with these brushless setups.

Plenty of wheel speed & parts braking torque with super smooth low end is usually par with 2500-3300kv sensored setup!

Just ordered a Holmes Puller Pro 2200kv. The pile of awesomeness continues to grow. I should've just ordered a cage. Then I could've called all the kit guys dumb. But then some D bag that bought the skid only would've called me dumb.
