The planned parenthood thing should be as follows: No government money for abortions. Use the money to subsidize anything else they do. Just on paper make the abortions paid for by the person getting one. Nothing else in health care is free.

The Obama care sticking point is contraceptives are free. CANCER MEDICINE should be free. If you want to screw without a condom pay the copay like every other prescription. All the supreme court bullshit would go away over something that simple as a copay, which we all pay when we get anything anyway. Its not a right to have free contraceptives.

No we don't. Federal law only requires background checks on weapons purchased from dealers. Universal checks would be for ALL sales, either from a dealer or from a private party.

Add registration to that list as well. All new gun sales are logged, it wouldn't hurt a damn thing to keep a record of used ones too. Between registration and background checks, it would greatly deter straw purchases.



Oh ffs. My point was that we're all about saving lives at any cost and constitution be damned until it comes to death by firearm. We have ever increasing standards for auto safety. Yes, violent crime is down. Gun deaths are in fact decreasing...at a very, very slow pace. Much slower than guns are being purchased. So slowly that you can hardly make a correlation.

My friend & I talked about public deaths. I suggested they hold public stoning & have people pay if they want to throw. That would stimulate the economy & put a piece of shit dirtbag in the ground. Killing two birds with one stone.

Absolutely 0 tax dollars go towards surgical abortions UNLESS the pregnancy occurred via rape, incest, or it threatens the life of the mother, via the Hyde Amendment. Been that way for 30 years.

I think part of the problem is a more than a small % of the population has no common sense or concept of personal responsibility, I mean how's it working so far? More and more people these days only have a sense of "me", that is a general comment not aimed at anyone here.

Hard to fix this but better training, and I know not a popular thought but..better storage(roughly 200,000 a year lost or stolen) I think that would be helpful in general.

Here's a fun little gem I saw on Instagram. The picture is 4 silhouetted people with guns emblazoned on them, like there carrying. The heading to the picture is "the only way to stop mass shootings", while that isn't the only way, it's a damn good way of stopping one. Now onto the gem, two comments, "mandatory gun ownership?" & "I'm pro gun and all but I don't know one incident where a civilian with a gun stopped a mass shooting" I mean...come on. Pro gun. It has no idea good people have stopped shootings with guns...
