One big question - will it get OD and/or UD gears? That's a must IMO.

Yes, we will have an overdrive gear set for the front axle...just couldn't get it out in time. We'll have more info soon.

In any of my TLR race vehicles, I never felt the need to upgrade c-hubs, steering knuckles/bearing carriers, etc. The stock Plastics on those Vehicles were always superb and held up great to years of racing.

Come to think of it, I don't think I ever replaced any of those parts on any of my vehicles. They are all original.

The Plastics on the new Capra will hold up well if they are the same TLR grade Plastics.

That design was on the Losi Rock Rey and I'm guessing other Horizon vehicles. It makes the teeth stronger, but the rest of the arm is still plastic. An aluminum horn is a better choice. Not as big of a deal on 1.9 as it is on 2.2, but I'd still upgrade to an all aluminum servo horn.

Right on the website it says, "The battery tray is forward mounted, and located under the hood. The tray size is built for shorty packs, at a maximum size of 26mm x 98mm x 47mm."

I’m really not one to complain publicly l, but “boo, and thumbs down” on the shorty pack.

Here’s to hoping that modification is straight forward.

I understand why you feel that way, but it makes sense. The lower weight of shorty packs offer so much more performance than big, heavy full-size packs.

Yes a spacer is included to "lock" it in 4wd.

I will note that the SPMSSX107 Servo from the is the only Micro servo that will "drop" right in. Can you use others yes but before there is a conspiracy issue (and something for Jato to complain about LOL), this little servo is metal geared and was the right fit and had more torque that we could source from our available vendors. The micro servo also has the base you need to fit the servo saver arm to connect to the trans to operate the dig.

AGAIN, yes you can use others but you will need to find a way to setup the linkage.

So if you plan to use dig, i would highly suggest getting a SPMSSX107 servo on order and depending on where you plan to run your receiver, get a 3" servo wire extension.

I'll post more tips in a dedicated thread at some point.

I think it's an OK idea, the problem I have is it is 23T whereas most servos people use are 25T. I get why they'd want you to use a Spektrum servo, and I suppose most people will buy the horn of their choice anyway.

Since the portal gears are presumably the same F/R and Rich mentioned overdrive for the front, I'm going to say ring & pinion.

I still use the plastic horn with the metal insert on my Rock Rey and it shows no sign of issues. I run 3S brushless and treat it with absolute contempt and it's held up extremely well.
