The unofficial official axial portal buggy.

What Esc and motor combo was used in the video ? also what pinion and spur gear ?

I also have ???. Axles seem pretty wide and it could be just because of proportions, but how close in width are these compared to an scx10ii axle? Also what pinion gear tooth count was used in calculating the final gear ratio?

Also - with the portals giving extra ground clearance, this would be neat to test your skills while running smaller tires, might look more scale at the same time.

Don't really need all that sidewall if you pick your lines well....

I’m thinking 4.19 Goodyear MTRs or a set of 4.19 ChooDoo’s? 🤔

I'm thinking 4.19 will look too small. Don't you?

We’ll find out in 4-6 weeks.

If they don’t look right, I’ll throw a set of 4.75 Hyrax on it.👍🏼

Here's what I'm thinking of running - and the Capra needs to be painted and detailed like what they run in those Rainforest Challenge YouTube videos instead of like something running the sand dunes (i.e. the included stripey decals in the kit) - sponsorship decals and number plates only:

How big of an esc can fit on that esc/receiver tray? I’m guessing mamba x is out of the question. Also, does the fuel cell double as a watertight electronics box or if it for aesthetics only?

Think I’m gonna go orange for my panels.

Just placed my order for these...

I think they’ll look fly! (Kids still say fly...right?

Riddle me this, geometry guys: You can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is that great of a difference in 4 link rc suspension characteristics as there is in 1:1? I get you can change the anti-squat, like with mountain bikes for instance. Out of curiousity, has anyone done a virtual pivot design on a rc rig like some of the bikes have? Anyone looking for a good read, Google 4 link suspension. You'll be up all night. Back on track- As much as I am anti bought, not built, this may very well be my first in that catagory, that video really impressed me. Put her in a different pair of better fitting jeans to and go hit it on the trails and rocks. Just be sure to look out for those chupacabras!

Where is that like button that went away, I want those wheels posted above. ^^^^ Aw shucks, they won't fit- they are 6 lug and this rig is 8. :lmao:

Yep, yet another in a strong lineup of Injora "budget" wheels!

They're positively bodacious!

He said no. All the kids say dope now. So those tires will look dope.

Heh-heh... if the "tiny-tire" thing doesn't cut it, I'll bust out my so-aggressive-they're-ugly (and controversial) 4.6" tall TSL Thorrnbirds...

Absolutely. It makes a huge difference. A lot of things don't directly translate between scales but geometry isn't on that list.

Oh, and nice job Rich and Matt and company. It looks like you've taken some design cues from some of the best handling shaft driven cars in the past. I'm actually pretty excited to take one for a spin.

Thanks Jakes for the kind words"thumbsup"

So there are two positions to mount the ESC and Receiver. The picture truck has it on the tray under the dash area but there is also a flat area to mount an esc on the rear bulkhead and the Fuel sell can be used at a receiver box. That being said, I was running a Tekin RX4 Mounted on the rear bulkhead with a Tekin Roc412 (Can't remember the KV, i'm at home typing this and my rig is at work). Geared with a 13T pinion. The spur gear is not interchangeable. It was running on 3S for that video shoot.

See above.
