My bad history with Savox aside, I'm unfamiliar with the sub-$40 servos they make that'll beat .08/400+ oz/in.
When I said $40 less I meant $40 less than the $120 ProTek 150T.

Ahh, got it, your post was clear, if only I'd read it a little closer. I've used a few of their servos in on-road applications and have been disappointed each time, as a result I've been pretty gun shy on equipping my crawlers with their stuff. I had been using Hitec 7950s for years in crawlers, took a chance on the ProTek a while back due to high voltage, similar torque, and faster transit speed and wasn't disappointed. Giving a 3Bros G13 a shot for my Capra build, who knows what it'll be next time.
Hmm... I have no idea where the post I was replying to went, guess I should have quoted it!
Duratrax is a Horizon brand so not too surprising on what I believe is a Horizon employee's car.
I'm still frustrated with the battery situation, but I already have an old Reaction 2S shorty pack I'll use for a while. I'm going to want to go up to 3S ASAP, but I don't want to order things now not knowing if they will fit or not.
I'm so ready to get this truck on the rocks!!!
Maybe CIs or PLs OR a new foam from Duratrax????
The front is the only visual part that I really don't like.
Build a bumper with a skid plate. Easy peasy and the look is changed.
I get where you're coming from, but from my perspective on things, it's the front end and the way the front corners of the cage tubing is arched. I'd really have to study one in the flesh for a while to figure out how to change that with something that bolts on but clears the suspension and tires...
That brings up a question: how many volts can the included light bar handle? Can I run it off of 3s? If not, can it at least handle 7.4v?
No, but waterproof servos are way overrated IMO. I don't run them. And I've only smoked one non waterproof servo due to water and it was from HobbyKing.
Agreed "thumbsup"and I've burnt up a waterproof servo that had an out of place gasket from the factory that I didn't catch. :ror:
Do all of the servo saver pieces for the dig servo come in the kit? When I look at the parts in AXI232016 it does not include the splined portion that actually attaches to the servo. Then I see that the missing component IS included IF you buy the suggested SX107 servo, is that really the only way to get that piece?
Unfortunately yes...there are some many different micro splines and variances that for us, using the servo we already had was the route to go. You can still use another micro if you decide to, you'll just have to use a solid arm link without the servo saver. You should be fine as long as you set the end points correctly.
Rear steer anyone?![]()

Lock the rear and turn your front axle left or right then put it in reverse.. Its a nice pivoting tool there, or sparingly use it for breakover traction. Dig is better than rear steer if you ask me.
But having rear steer and dig? Thats the fun part.
