New Traxxas 2021 Ford Bronco

Another gorgeous TRX body from Traxxas. I still think the 79 Bronco is nicer...

I Agree the 79 is the standard and the best looking... BUZZZZZ....

Anybody Know When In Mid May Traxxas Will Make This 550$ Bad Boy available 4 Purchase????????

I'm only speculating here, but there is a good chance the price increase may be due to the increase in raw materials cost world wide, and while this vehicle was (body) was in development before/during the pandemic, I'm sure finance has an eye on the bottom line on how to recoup the costs involved.

Considering costs, I really think that the TRX-4, as much as I don't like Traxxas as a company, is a good value. The SCX10 III Gladiator is $520, doesn't have the option to lock/unlock differentials, and you have to choose between dig or 2 speed.

Why didn't they do the two door version though? I kinda like the two door version in 1:1, 4 door not so much lol. I won't be picking this up, have 4 already and thinking 2 are gonna go get sold soon for a new build.

The 2021 Bronco in 2 door is pretty small, it would look disproportionate on the TRX4 IMO. I agree the 2-door is sortof the traditional, go to for the Bronco, but the way Ford designed it, it wouldn't lend itself to this platform well.

I have a four door on order, I wanted the two door, but it's just too small/short.

I can definitely see that being the reason.

Body looks good! I'd take one in yellow, but still recovering from my Gladiator purchase.
Curious what all detail bits rc4wd will come up for this one.

I think I'm just as excited about the aftermarket for this now that Traxxas jump on to the 2021 Bronco as I am about having one on order. Ford has literally hundreds of accessories ( not all exterior ) so there's a lot of potential out there I'm guessing.

Easy for me to skip this.

Wife wants a 1:1 My father in law ( her dad ) had a 77 and I had the 84 and 88 FS bronco's so it was easy to get the 79.

Other then the body I'm not seeing any cool or one off 21 Bronc options from traxxas to make me buy a 3rd trx
It is up for pre order on traxxas and other sites now.

Walked into my lhs today and they had 7… 4 yellow 3 red. Well now they have 6 lol 2 red and 4 yellow

Traxxas currently sells 6 other licensed Ford bodies, I’d doubt Ford is trying to put the screws to them now.

A little late response, but I actually agree that the license has gone up.
Tom’s Bronco parts.. now officially known as Tom’s Off-road.. has been in business using the Bronco name for 45 years. Well with the new release of the Bronco, and the fact Ford owns the term “Bronco” Ford contacted them to inform they’ll no longer be allowed to to use that name for their company or website name. They sent out an email to inform their customers about the name change.

I picked up the yellow one last week. I want to do some upgrades before I run it. Looks great!

Very nice man, I’ve yet to run mine. It’s getting a hobbywing 1080, Holmes crawlmaster 550 12t, a Savox 1210sg and I’m installing my dx5c and 6 channel receiver. Other than that, I just plan on driving it

Got the stock electronics ripped out, new motor will be here tomorrow. Savox 1210sg hobbywing 1080 and set it all up in my dx5c.
Swapped the stock tires for some trxus I had laying around. Like the size for sure. Can’t wait to test it, but 111+ weather kept me from it this weekend

Got to take this thing out for its maiden voyage today. Holmes crawlmaster sport 12t 550 installed. This things a blast to drive. Made some lines look easy that I thought it wouldn’t stand a chance on. Definitely a fun rig and you can tell where the 12.8” wb helps and hurts. All in all I don’t plan on changing much else on this thing

I picked one of these up today in the Cyber Orange. I already have some mods like a HW1080, HH motor, portal weights, etc. that I bought for my 1979 TRX Bronco that I never ended up using.

I have a 1:1 2 door ordered as well.

What trim level you going with? And what kind of eta are you expecting?

I ordered a 2 door Badlands with high package in cactus gray, I am thinking about going to Lux and a different color. I’m doing the 2.3L engine with the manual transmission no matter what. Changing to a base model is also appealing and would save me $17K. I have a 7/14/2020 reservation, but I doubt I’ll see a truck until 2022 no matter what I change my order to. If they offer a basesquatch manual in 2022 I may change to that.
