CVD's for TLT?

Listen i am so sick and tired of the stock driveshafts and cups...you need to trim the hell out of them to get any decent steering at all....and i have broken 4 of them so far!:evil:

I desperatly want some cvds for the front of my 2.2...and complete set of 4 form super class. Does anybody know where i can get cvd's for the tlt-1 r at least some alternate approaches to driveshafts....besides rc4wd????

Check the vendors section under RCP. There is a thread about them that should answer your questions, and tell you how to order them.

I break that many before lunch. and if you have a Clod or Txt for your super look on rcp they have them from thunder tech. I can tell by the fact that you have only broke 4 axels that you are new to this but if you had serched cvd in this section you would have your answer"thumbsup"

I also know and am familiar (and ok with) with the prices and the cost of some of the more expensive crawling equiptment, such as the R2 tranny from rc4wd, (which i have already ordered "thumbsup")

However, i am somewhat concerned with the pice fo mip cvd's. $105 for cvds just seems a little pricy. I know i need them...but still i have more than one crawler and that means...well, its just really expensive for cvd's. :x

well, which would you rather be crying about, breaking another axle or how much you spent for cvd's?
if your not running rear steer wait for the matching straight axles for the rear, should save a few bucks over the cvd set.

$50 is the going rate for most mip cvd's out there, you just need 2 sets to have 4wd so $100 plus shipping is right on the money for these, don't like the price?:roll: stop the hammer throttle and live with the stockers:shock:

well let's see stock tlt axle shafts are sold by the pair, around $7, so if you break one everytime you go out, as you said, then in 2 weeks they would have paid for themselves, wouldn't they?

We're not letting a silly thing like math and facts get in the way of our complaint about the price!

I think they're pricey too, but I also ordered 3 sets for my 3 trucks that need it and from what I can tell, over their lifetime they will pay for themselves. Rc4wd straights go in the back.

Yes but if you are using stock tlt gearboxes and no straight axle conversion, then the rc4wd straight axles will stick way out past the gearbox and will be taking a lot of unsaught stress. Maybe unsaught is not the right word....let me see stress that the product was not designed for. It will stick out cuz ur bypassing the knuckle and all that space will be lost...you need rc4wd straight axle converters too...which are $25 a pair.

I've been running the same axle shafts for the last six months in my competition buggy. :?

If you don't hurry and order them it'll be too late and you be back to running stockers for the next couple months. I ordered 4 sets. "thumbsup"

You still use the knuckles to support the straight axleshafts, they just don't turn, no extra stress"thumbsup"I have only broken 2 inner axles and 3 outer stubs, in 2.5 yrs. Your driving style makes a big difference in breakage.
I did however order a couple sets of CVD's, they are sick. Now I will have a bunch of stockers sitting in the toolbox waiting for the cvd's to break, I think they are gonna be in there quite awhile:lol:

cost of hobby

rcphanatic works for me at Bruckner Hobbies in NEW YORK so he does know what it cost to participate in this hobby, having raced both 1/8 scale truggies and electric offroads. yes we do get parts at a discount but even then it still expensive. guys, dont think just because we race we dont pay for parts we do, thanks Felix"thumbsup" "thumbsup" "thumbsup"
