Whats up with clod stall??

I put 2 Momba Max speed controlls in my crawler and it did absolutly nothing to help with clod stall.

I wired one to the front and the second to the rear. and wired both speed controlles to a single 6 cell 4500 battery.

First mistake: its a clod, Its going to stall.

Second mistake: Wiring Two controlers two one battery.

Hmm...I don't see those as mistakes at all. Running one battery off two controllers is perfectly fine. I know many people here that do it, including myself and have no issues with it whatsoever. My clod stall, if I have any at all, is so minimal it's not even an issue for me.

Shows what I know, I only know that clods are junk!

my cars pushing 12 to 14 lbs.

rapter axle, aluminum bead locks, tube chassis,

how do you have everything wired?
i only get a 10 minute run time.

crawlers suck. ive built 2 and this has been my more expensive one, over $2000 invested and i cant get it to work good. my first one rocked.

What gearing are you running man?

I run 102 to one in my 25 -30 pounder on 3300 cells, I get ATLEAST 45 mins to an HOUR. On a huge outrunner (3025), blastin lines up the mountain.

15 mins on 4400??? What motors are you running. sounds to me like you need a higher turn lathe motor... or something with POWER.... maybe a JRH motor?

ive got 2 integi 65t motors, 2 momba max speed controlls, 4500 battery, hi tech 645 in the rear, hi-tech robot servo up front, rapter axles, alumi bead locks. the works

Calm down man, You don't just buy a bunch of parts and expect it to work well.

It takes time.

If you want a crawler that you don't have to build and it works sweet then I would suggest hitting up one of the vendors here or goin to e-bay.

But I have to say, My $8 chassis, $10 axles and all my electronics in all my rigs does not even come close to $1000.

And I bet The Wheelchair can go where you couldn't dream.

It takes time to get it all right.

Good luck with it man.

ive already built a sick crawler that i had no problems with. i wanted to upgraed to better parts os i wasnt breakin axle parts. my old car was the bomb

and im running 8 tooth pinions

Well, sounds like you are geared low enough...

I would think you would get alot more runtime with that setup.

When running a BEC, alot of your motor battery power is converted into heat, from being stepped down to the 5 or 6 volts the mamba puts out...

Running a reciever pack is mandatory with that robot servo. Its a power sucker!

thats what i thought. do you think i should take the extra weight and run 2 batterys? one to each speed controll?

I have found the best way to eliminate clodstall is go brushless. Gear it as low as possiable.

I run 2 esc's, one battery, if you run 2 packs the rear pack will discharge faster because it draws the most amps trying to push the rig around.

Half your problem I would say is the Raptor axles as they were not properly engineered, gear ratio too high.
