1:6th Ultimate Jeep Wrangler TJ

Heres my real 1:1 TJ. Hopefully my build will turn out similar to this.."thumbsup"

What a Cute little Jeep...

Got more done on the chassis tonight. I was planning on mounting the steering servo up in the frame, (and I actually did mount it there) but no matter how i mounted it, or how I attatched the drag link to the tie rods, it just wouldn't work. When the drivers side suspension compressed, everything was fine, but when the pass side compressed, the steering always turned sharp left. Each and every time i tried something different to fix it, it wouldn't happen, so I said the hell with it, and mounted it on the axle. works fine now..!"thumbsup" Anyways, almost done with the chassis, and next step is the body , and paint work( my favorite part..!!)

That Frame is Very Nice "thumbsup"

Thank You WranglerCrawler. Well, Its finally "ALIVE"..!! I got all the electronics installed today, and drove it in the basement. I had a few bugs to work out on the chassis, but it flexes sweet now.."thumbsup" I also got to make some aluminum "Poision Spyder " style rocker knockers tonight, and install them.

Next up, is a custom winch plate, and a WARN winch, as well as a "swing away" tire carrier:shock:.. THEN onto paint and final body work, before she's ready for her first date with the rocks..!!!"thumbsup""thumbsup"

Got the front end mostly done tonight..( Minus finding a 1:6 winch hook) Instead of building a tube bumper like on my 1:1, I made a WARN rockcrawler bumper instead. I also made the WARN winch. Next on the list is the rear of the jeep.. Spare tire carrier, and Hi-Lift jack..!"thumbsup" Man..., I wanna see this thing in the rocks..!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys.., I made the winch ( Pictured in post #31 in primer) and the bumper out of "evergreen" flat plastic stock. I also used a ( believe it or not )"custom" cut broken Tamiya Pajero main spur gear and a couple of round plastic dowels on the winch !!! . The teeth on the gear made for a PERFECT looking heat sink..!! I wanted to build the front end a little different from the rest of the 1:6th jeeps I've built, and seen.

Well, I wanted to get as much done as quick as possible on this build,to get it on the rocks before winter hit.., but I should have known better, because right now theres 2 1/2 feet of snow outside, and its like 14 degrees out..!!!
:x SO I'm taking my time now on the build, and I am going to really concentrate on the DETAILS..!!!! Now I've got all winter..!"thumbsup"

snow????? put some paddles on with a feigao 9l and 22.2 volts. you should be able to find the rock underneth all the snow after a couple passes.

edit: i just realized you have clod axles, 2 mamba maxs 2feigaos and you should be okay.

were did you get that engine thats in the black jeep the small block ??

Hey..., I got that from Toys R' Us a few years ago.. Its a 1:6th scale motor, and they come in different models.. ( Fords, Chevys and Hemi's, etc ) . The only problem with them is they are VERY heavy.., ( made of metal) and will sink the front of a truck right down.. I haven't seen them in the stores for a while now, but check E-bay, as I know they are still some on there..!
"thumbsup"
