I know you guys have been waiting for an update, so here it is. I finally got some time today and got the main tube work almost done. This thing is huge :mrgreen:. ps if anyone has some 40 series crushers I really need some.

really? My dad just bought a cheap 110 flux cored mig welder but I don't feel like trying to screw with it. Do you get alot of spatter? it dosn't look like it on ur frame.
 
I have the same welder
Lincoln pro mig 110, ebay $350.
I use 24g with argon c02 mix, it took a while to get the right settings to get a nice bead but it's great now

just got the main part of the diff carriers cut out last night, I still hsve to cut out the recess for the ring gear and bearings, then make the bearing caps.

I did everything myself. the front turning operation was done on a manual bridgeport lathe. the second back operation was done on a haas cnc mill which I hand wrote the program for, as well as the second operation on the back. I did all of this at the NTMA trainig center im attending here in so cal. In 2 weeks I will be a certified machinist:mrgreen:
