here is one of my good friends that he built from ground up.

he going to pull out that motor and put a flat head in it so he can cruise it around.this motors to radical for screwing off so it makes it not even fun to drive.

That'll be a pretty bad ass looking with a nice flathead in it!

I agree Stu, to me a rat rod is a slapped together unsafe death trap.
This is my buddies truck we did in 07, I drove it to The Hunnert Car Pile Up in 08, drives better than my S-10 did, 70mph like nothing, no death trap rattle either! LOL If ya ever are lookin to get any more work done/ and parts or I know he has a 50 Ford with your name on it. His shop(Bill's Speed Shop) is in Joliet,ILL only a lil bit north of ya! (815)-744-2019

Nice work, but that big tunnel-ram is completely wrong. Three deuces and boat intakes would look right. What's with no belt on the generator?

A flatty would look real good in there.

I love me some slot mags, but not on this rig.

When you're putting together a rod, the overall look has to be consistent. The tunnel-ram and the slot mags belong to the late 70's-early 80's, and the rods of the time had a completely different look. They didn't sit nearly as low, and most of them ran full fenders. What you got there is a couple traditional rods with period-incorrect parts.

It's like all the rat rod chicks with Betty Page haircuts, 1940's swimsuits and tatoos all over. Or the current dubs-on-a-musclecar fad.

To each their own ya know, the slots work cause thats what we had lying around, thats why its called a rat rod too! That's the way we like em here and i dig chicks with tattoo's!! "thumbsup"

All ready for tear down.

Just thought of something. This thing is probably going to be here just in time for my 29th birthday. '29 Ford on my 29th B-day. The car is 81 years old and I was born in 81. Crazy right?

Holly tetanus shot Batman!!! Looks great man. I wouldn't even paint the body but, A mate black powder coat would look killer a on the frame, etc.

Because on rat's like that it's not about the paint job. It's about what it represents.
You got that right TK it's all about patina."thumbsup"

Trunk is done. I wanted something to set my coupe apart from others so I opted for some offset louvres.

About 3-4 weeks out from delivery if the weather behaves. I'm super stoked!

This is awesome on so many levels Nate.

Offset louvers look trick, but not to over done. Also with Gregs pin stripping,
it will look awesome.

Painted and assembled. Just a few finishing touches left! Will be running by the end of the week. So happy with it. Can't wait to see her sitting on her own legs.
