Well got one pair of shocks, I'm trying to assemble the RC4WD wheels/tires but I'm not liking them LOL going to have to clamp them to start the bolts..

Chassis rails will be here Thursday, axles/trans/driveshaft, and few other parts should also be here..

Waiting for the body to show up before I order links from RC4WD..

Welp looks like my chassis rails are not going to show up til tomorrow along with the axles/trans, tried to assemble the RC4WD wagon wheels, and gave up. Going to buy glue style wheels more than likely HPI stock car or Raceline Monster true scale bead lock wheels when I get paid... til next time..

Got almost everything yesterday and wasted no time jumping in on it.. waiting on 2 shocks, gotta order the R&P's, and upper link mounts yet though.. this may turn into a 1.55 tire build, as 1.9's are large on this body I'll leave it for now but probably going to get 1.55 landies steelies and some decent tires for it.. I forgot how small this body actually is.. I had an original one mounted on a Kyosho Pureten on road chassis using Marui Galaxy buggy tires and it was awesome back in the day!

Got the chassis started anyway, and mocked up the axles to get link lengths, and plan on ordering them Sunday night

Settled on a 10" wheel base - body is 9 3/4" hopefully the drivetrain will not have to bad of a angle to deal with using 80mm upper links, and 90mm lower links (measured without SSD rod ends (15mm center of ball to end)

Rails mounted to the Venom AX10 aluminum trans plate
Trans will face the rear
Bent the frame rails front and rear - taper from 80mm AX10 width to SCX10 75mm width
RC4WD punisher shafts - have a long and short - may not have to cut them but can't see needing more than 1/4" shorter

Well ordered links and chassis braces from RC4WD - used my 12" wheelbase Xtrail as the basis for shorter links LOL crossing my fingers they work.. will be using the shortest wheelbase holes in the chassis - that way I can adjust out up to a 1/2" if need be

74mm braces *(add a M3 washer to get 75mm needed)
Lower links- 113mm (80mm tube + a few M3 washers as needed)
Rear upper- 95mm (65mm tube)
Front upper- 70mm (40mm tube)
4mm long M3 spacers (just in case I got a couple wrong I can try to remedy it)

Also found out the Gear Heads 4 link mounts don't fit in the front with a axle mounted servo SO I will be getting the STRC 4 link plate for the front and using the stock 4 link truss in the rear..

If this goes as planned I'll be looking for electronics soon!

Also last night ordered 1.55" steel landies, RC4WD 1.55" Rock Stompers, and a STRC 4 link plate. SO this is now a 1.5 build..

If a mod could move the thread over there that'd be sweet, this probably won't be updated til the middle of the week when parts start showing up..

Got a little done on this today -

Got some 70mm RC4WD threaded links and installed them in the chassis (chassis braces), installed the servo, installed a RC4WD 35t motor, and installed the body mounts

I don't like the landie 1.55" steel wheels I got as they are pin drive, SO I'm getting a set of Gear Heads 1.55" slots for it, as well as a front drive shaft.

I'll post pics tomorrow morning!

I wish that body was a wee bit bigger..

I'm using the stock axial 4 link mount under my front Servo.
Just used the 2 front screws (longer ones) to hold the Servo mount on..
With the axle clock up wards a tad to line up the drive line, seems okay.

Can't wait to see the body on chassis..

That's a good idea! As do I an 11" wheelbase would be decent, 12" would be perfect ahaha
I have it setup on a 10" though and it works well.. just very short haha
