2 day Trail event for scalers in Marseilles, IL

So who is going on Sunday?

Or if you would rather, I will sit it out. Just as you guys are looking at the spots please keep in mind my mobility or lack there of. If the nest spots are too far in or too hard a terrain to get to, I can also sit out the event. More important to find a good spot that everyone can enjoy that one that I can get too.

neil you are going. we will find a spot we all feel comfy with.

I am having second thoughts as for the first time in 25 years, I don't have a 4X4 here. My Yota is in MS as are my 4 wheelers. And as I am having reconstructive knee surgery the next week. walking in and out from the parking lot dragging a wagon or carrying 3 trucks is not going to be a great idea.

That sucks.. gotta do what ya gotta do.

Come Saturday night, I may or may not suddenly want to tag along depending on what I got going on and if there's room. What time are you guys planning on being back in town Sunday?

Neil, you can always ride in with me...throw your stuff in the back of my truck and leave your car at the front parking area. It won't be any big deal.

Thanks Trey, not sure you want to start ferrying people, ther will more than me without a ride. Another reason I should not have left my Ram down south.

Well I don't know how much ferrying I'll be doing but I've got room for toys and people, that's the nice thing about having a 4 door pickup. It's extremely useful! Johnny and Taco are going to need a ride in from someone too, we're not expecting people with little cars to drive into the park.

If we make a habit out of going to the cliffs though...I'm going to need to start thinking about replacing my front bumper with a winch bumper. An ARB winch bumper and Warn winch are on my to do list for my truck...it seems that costly toy trucks have prevented that from happening to date.

If this goes well...
Now that I have a tent, I'd like to get out there a few more times this summer "thumbsup"

winches are good... i'm waiting to see how long the little winch lasts in timmy before i replace it with the big winch that came on my 4rnr.

my biggest concern is getting to and from the actual spot we pick since most of us dont have capable 1:1's and i dont want to be shuttling everybody in and out. i'm hoping there is something right off the parking area or behind the garage.

again i think i sounded dickish... i was meaning to say i think we should focus on a spot close to the entrance so the majority of the time isnt spent taking people way way back into the park.
