2 day Trail event for scalers in Marseilles, IL

I wil just hide mine besides yours.

I am driving to the office at Chase on Friday, then probably leave out about 2:30ish and go to the hotel. I don't want to have to get up early, pack and then drive. So I will be there to meet for breakfast on Saturday then caravan to the park.

If anyone else is coming in Friday, you will find me at the pool, I will be the one that looks like a beached whale with tattoos and a cane.

Anyone have a spare driveshaft that is longer than stock? I need one for the truck I'm trying to finish for the cliffs.

So if we are meeting at 9:00 am for breakfast, we will get to the park about 10:00 to 10:30 and the campers have to be at the camp grounds at 11:00? Are we not running in the morning now?

meet at R Place at 9 for breakfast
Be at Cliffs at 10
trail run
Be at campground at 12
no problems man "thumbsup"

Set up camp and maybe have lunch/charge lipo's
then back to Cliffs

Ok, then setup and a quick lunch, back to the park wish, run till 4:30 or so, BBQ and after the park closes some beers Then an evening run or 2? For sure what a night run.

I am bringing my grill and charcoal, and something to grill. If I get my wife's car back tomorrow (hope so since the RV is going in the shop), i will bring Katsup and Mustard and a few packs of dog buns. If someone is bringing burgers, can they pick up extra buns? I don't think we need everyone to bring buns unless people are planning to eat eight them selves, lol.

FYI...the costs associated with the Cliffs are pretty simple.

20 bucks if you are driving something out of the parking lot and into the park. You also need some a flag, which is a small fee from them, but you can keep it (whee?).

5 bucks if you are just a passenger and are riding with someone, made arrangements, or whatever.

Alcohol is actually not allowed at the park or in the parking lot. We made inquiries about it, and they said if you were camping at the parking lot, as long as you were keeping it on the download after hours then that is cool.

As the bunch of us that were interested in camping are staying at Papa Murphs, I imagine we'll head back there to grill out at some point which people are I'm sure more than welcome to tag along, etc.

It looks as if we will not be running this as any type of structured event. If you are coming from out of state or a long drive, you should understand what is planned. At this time, only the morning run is planned. Everything after that will be plead by ear.

Not even sure the 'morning run' is structured. Just gonna need to go find a place, based on what we found last time, to go putz around.

Trey is bringing the sled; there are some great places for that to bust some rigs! We've got plenty of flags; so we can setup some on the spot courses to run through. And if we find a decent spot (or someone actually hears/talks/yells at/communications with/etc Steve and he has some good ideas) we can always setup something.

The other thing to remember is this is a 1:1 park, so there is 1:1s to contend with. When we were there most everyone was cool, and we saw some cool rigs, and some people take mud baths.

I'm hoping all works out so I can make it down from Michigan. My girlfriend finally gave up on trying to figure out why grown men will travel to another state to play with toy trucks. I told her because.
