2-shot's BGR Fabrications Bomber Build - "Bombdiggity"

Yeah, I don't really want to know! LOL!!

I wasn't going to jack your thread responding from previous posts but I know you won't yell at me.

I stopped adding mine up after 10 Ben Franklins. No way do I wanna know the REAL total but I am very thankful to have a great job that allows me to have more RC $$ than in the past.

I agree! There comes a point in the build that you stop keeping track of the $$$ spent!

Very cool build! Giving me ideas for a build with my son, the RTRs are great but i'd rather him learn to build things so he can fix them "when" he breaks them!

I agree 100%! A build from the ground up is a great learning experience, especially for someone just starting out. My first crawler was a Wraith kit. I learned a ton from building it. It took me a while, and it was frustrating at times, but the knowledge I gained from it was worth it! [emoji1303]

I wanted to post some more poser pics of my BGR Bomber.

I haven't been able to get it out and run it. We've had a lot of rain, and I will not run any of my rigs in the mud, especially this one!

I'm trying to figure out, or find out, if the Pro Line Power Stroke dual spring setup (primary and secondary springs) will work on the Pro Line Pro-Spec shocks.
If anyone has any info regarding this, please post and let me know! I emailed Pro Line a few days ago and asked, but haven't received a response.
I have the stiffest Pro-Spec springs on the rear of my Bomber, and still have to adjust the spring pre-load nut way down on the shocks. It doesn't give much adjustment for pre-load on the rear shock springs...

I'm still debating on trying a set of actual Pro-Spec front shocks, on the front of my Bomber. I currently have the Pro-Spec rear shocks on the front and rear. I'm wanting to lower the ride height a touch more, but I can't mount my front shocks any higher up on the chassis' front shock tower.
I'm a little nervous about dropping $50 on a set of Pro-Spec front shocks and possibly not like them on my Bomber.
So, if anyone has a set of Pro-Spec front shocks that they would sell (or let me try them out. LOL!!) definitely let me know!!

Ok... Enough of me flappin my gums! Here are some BGR Bomber poser pics! [emoji1303]

Looks amazing 2-shot. Yes, the P-L Powerstroke shocks springs will work on the Pro-Spec shocks. I can't recall if the upper spring retainer will slide over the shock body though. I have the primary springs on my Pro-Spec shocks only.

Thanks Bil!! [emoji1303]

I'll have to compare the Pro-Spec spring rates to the Power Stroke spring rates and see what I need!

Unbelievable. Looks awesome and better every time you show pics. Thing belongs in a glass display case but i can't wait for a run video. "thumbsup""thumbsup"

I'm only a week late to the party but since you already have Prospec's all around, you can just buy the front bodies and shafts instead of the whole shock kit. It looks like about $35 in parts from Tower.

Another option instead of the front SC Prospecs, you can go with the rear buggy versions. The buggy rear shocks are a little longer than the SC fronts (3.6 in vs. 3.5 in) so they won't lower the front as much.

That's a great idea! I would've never thought of that!! Thank you!
I wonder if the Pro Spec rear buggy shocks are the same diameter (bore) as the SC shocks?

2-shot do you have a picture of the battery installed?
did you use the stock battery tray?

thx"thumbsup"

I don't have pics of the battery installed. I will post a couple pics of the battery installed! [emoji1303]
I didn't use the stock battery tray. You will have to see the pics to understand how the battery straps in. I won't be able to explain it well!! LOL!!!

I apologize for the delay on the pics.

All I have is smaller 3s lipos. I like the smaller sized lipos in my 1.9's. The BGR Bomber chassis was designed to use normal sized 3s lipos (bigger mah). I haven't purchased any "normal" size lipos yet, so I'm utilizing the smaller size lipos that I have already. I have two SMC 2800mah 20c lipos (which SMC no longer sells), and two Venom 2100mah 20c lipos. Both the SMC and Venom lipos are flight packs, if that gives you an idea on their physical size.

My RC funds have been running a little low, so I haven't been able to get a "normal" size lipo yet. [emoji1304]

If you're familiar with the BGR Bomber chassis, you'll know exactly how I have my lipo strapped in. The lipo is very secure! I can't slide it out of the straps without loosening the straps first! [emoji1303]
Hopefully you can see from the pics. [emoji1303]
