4PK Setups, Tips, Tricks and Help

Harley you have been a God to me with this radio so far so here goes the next question. I have been told by my LHS that I can bind the 4PK to my other trucks with a 603FF or 603FS Rx in them. I have had no luck with this so far. Is it possible that I am not linking it correctly? This is my first 2.4 radio and my son has the 3PM-X in his crawler. I want to link my radio to his truck so that I can test his mods with my fantastic radio. The manual says to just turn both on and press the button on the Rx but it will not link. I have email Futaba 2 times so far but their response has been, how do you say, non existant. can you help me out?

Simply go to the RXSYS menu and change your radio from C2 mod to C1 mode. Turn the radio off then back on and you should see the c1 mode indicated in the bottom right corner of your main screen. if it still says C2 just try it again and make sure it gets changed to C1.

Let me know if you ever need anything else.

Every time I get completely stumped, you fix my problems in about 1/2 a second. Damn I am glad I found you! thaks for another perfect and simple fix. Now I can start leaving all these damn other crappy radios at home!

The new setup has replaced the previous post #11. Please refer to it.

The reason that it is a big deal is that it puts your front ESC in channel 2! This means that you do everything we typically do with an MOA and opens up channel 4! This would allow us to do winch down, cutting brakes, or whatever else we could come up with. An even bigger benefit is that you can run your MOA’s off of the cheaper 603FF RX’s if you don't want to add anything to channel 4. Also the 3PK will now have full functionality that the 4PK does for 2.2 MOA rigs. "thumbsup"

If this something new in the 3pk, or just a different radio set up that works with the existing 3pk radio?

Also, can you do any of this stuff with the 3pmx on a MOA?

Thanks,

What alternate battery setup's are there if any. I was reading up on this controller and it was saying 2 hour run time on one battery?
My scaler battery will outlast my controller. Somedays i drive a couple different rigs 3 to 5 hours.

I don't charge my radio but maybe every few times. I usually get an easy 4-6 hours or more off the stock battery. On my Trinity extended pack I probably get 6-8 hours. There are also LiFe batteries available but I have never really looked into them.

Also, there in a battery mod that is linked on the first post of this thread. It allows you to use regular AA batteries. Depending on your batteries runtimes would be about the same.

I am new at this controller and need alittle hand holding. I got
the rearwheel steer to work as listed but how do I get it to just do rearwheel? I read the post on the last page but there were a few items I did not understand or know where to go to change. Thanks
