yup, I actually have one mounted on my mcrc now, it works well. I cut the front bumper off and the front wheels sit a bit forward for better approach angles. I'll edit in a picture when I get the chance, but like everyone else finals lol.

I have one of those Mini-Z Pajeros too! I really love the scale body. Would love to do a scaler chassis starting with the Trekker for this body.

Just a note: Overlands are 1:28, not 1:24. There is quite a difference in size there.

So I needed a study break and put all these parts in. This truck really isn't in as good of shape as I thought it was. The rear gearbox was pretty beat up and all the screw holes were cracked.

The plastic they used on these is pretty brittle. Not a good mark for Kyosho. Fortunately, that's what GPM is for. One thing I did discover about this truck was it came with full ball bearings! Extra goody!

The gear box is a tight fit, but it is precise. Very smooth too.

The completed rear axle with the Atomic Mods motor:

Shock mounts are great too. They include an extra shock mount position.

Here is the completed rear end:

Up front, numb nuts super glued all the screws in place. This ended up breaking a piece of my pretty red chassis.

Despite the annoyance, the new shock mount did fit perfectly:

And now this truck looks super sweet:

If the weather is good, I'll have time to take it out and see how it handles.

Nice rig man! Never had an appreciation for these little rigs till not that long ago. I always thought they were goofy little cheapo cars, but my neighbor is into them. He's got a few of them set up with all the billet parts like yours. The bodies for these rigs are good stuff too. He gave me an XMODS Navigator, F150, and something else (can't remember), to play around with on my Trekker.

For the time they were pretty damn good. Now that electronics have shrunk even more, they are definitely dated. I'm surprised Kyosho never came out with a hardcore pack with a tiny Li-Po battery and a micro-sized DSM ESC. They offer DSM on their newer cars, but the board is still large for the scale. Maybe it'll happen one day in the future. XMODS really gave a lot for your dollar. The plastic is way less brittle and at $50 new, they were still quick.
