ALRC Comp #3 Rock City August 9th 2008

For right now yes. I am sure we will have both classes next year. We have been trying to wait till we get a few members comfortable with scoring before we try to run both classes so that were not stuck doing all the scoring and no time to actually look at the courses or just talk to the rest of the guys. :flipoff:

I understand.
I was pretty sure that it was 2.2 only and that works best for me at this time.
Tylers super is broke and will be for a few weeks and it is much easier to throw just the little trucks in the car and drive down to little rock city than having to pack all the other trucks and tools.
I am sure we will see you there."thumbsup"

And so everyone knows Tyler can flat out drive his new GC-2 Berg. So watch out:lol:

Bill, Mike and myself are planning on the trip. Bill and Mike are both military so something may come up, but for right now add us three to the list. Thanks"thumbsup"

Entry fee?
I'll be there, but probably just as a spectator... Unless there is a "never been in a comp - only got my first crawler this week" class -

No entry fees.

Why not compete? Its the only real way to get exerianced at it. We all started some where. Besides, it will help you learn the rules. ;)

Yeah... compete. I'm bringing 3 guys that have never competed and are new too. Heck... I've only been in one before. It's a blast!"thumbsup"

I fully expect my truck to be FAR from comp-worthy... It's a used WK that hasn't even gotten here yet. I know it needs some things to be drivable, much less ready for competition. As with all things used, I won't really even know what I've got or what all it needs till it gets here.

Thats cool man. Just show up anyway to watch and I will let you drive mine around a little. 8)

8) Been wanting to meet you.

A few places run a limited class for guys that are just getting into it. To sum it up it is for trucks without dig."thumbsup"

There might be enough to run a limited class, if Jeff, Jerry, and Doug come with me they all have rigs without dig and are new to crawling. Might be something to think about.

The 2 digless guys with me are cool about not having a limited class. They don't expect to do great anyway... they just want some experience. The other guy made a dig last week, so he's ready... or so he thinks ;-)

Now that the club is growing some, we might be able to get a few guys trained to do the scoring and what not. Right now though, there are only a few guys that know how or have scored before. With that being said, I don't think we have enough people just yet to be able to run like this. Especially with the "free crawl" format that I believe we are going to try this weekend. If we do the free crawl, we will have to have at least 3 judges. But all this just depends on how many courses we can get setup within a close range of each other. "thumbsup"

I am sure if you want to free crawl Melanie will help do some judging.

Are we going to run 5min time limit courses like we are going to run a nats?
That is if we knew how to build a course that could be finished in 5min.

Jerry will be there. Limited class would be nice but I understand if not.
