dotson,
Thats a pretty good idea. HHMMMMMM, now you got me thinking."thumbsup" I wonder if the driveshaft I have will fit on the output shaft of my motor.

I have one of these projects on the back burner.
But here's the details:

Twin Force axle for the rear
Customized T-maxx suspension up front, maybe revo?!?!?!
Reuse the stock maxx chassis as a slider.
Possibly gas or electric, I have a new OS .15 motor, the old flat looking ones, I'd like to toss in this project.
Haven't decided on a tranny maybe revo or t-maxx 3.3

It'll rock!

My .02 , Seems like an awful amount of work to get the pivot line at almost the center of the chassis. I think it would have been easier to move the rear points in further and got the same results as that. But what do i know. Also with my setup i am bottoming out the ball ends at full droop and compression. At this point all i can do is get longer arms.

I was up in Connecticut working this past week, and on my way home down 87 thru New York I passed this guy driving what I think was a Nissan Titan, but it was all tricked out desert racer style. It was definitely 2WD w/ independant front suspension and a solid rear with some kind of linkage system installed. It sounded real nice and throaty and definitely had enough power to at least get out of it's own way, definitely a V8. He had a CAT deisel themed paint job, 30 or 40 different stickers, and this sweet roll cage on the back with 2 spare wheels mounted on it. It was dope.
I treid to get a picture of it but we were in heavy traffic.

Across the back bumper he had a rub-on that read:
"What's on your mind on a dirt road at 101 mph?...besides 102 mph???"

Sounds pretty sick. Its not that often you see a PreRunner/Trophy Truck style custom on the NE Coast Line. I wish I saw it.

I did see a nice one in Florida, full tube chassis, full race interior. Pretty sweet, wish I heard the motor.

Thanks, but that one weighs nearly six pounds running:shock: working on version II . this ones all aluminum"thumbsup" heres a preview preview shot.

Nice sniper, that looks great. Going with an all aluminum chassis, very sweet.
Are you welding it?

Thanks Tig, yep all aluminum. can be a PITA to weld but its going good so far. When you starting yours? as far as tips on a build i dont have too many except take your time planning so as not too waste time and material. I drew mine up completely in Autocad then print up profiles in 1:1 so i can use that to make the bends off of.
