Any 2wd scale Trophy/Corr Trucks

sniper,
Are you Tig welding it or are you using a spool gun?

dotson,
I bet its a pain, the material is almost as big as the filler rod if your were to Tig it.

It is going to be a very sweet TT when finished."thumbsup"

Baby #2 is going to be joining us in a couple of days:mrgreen:. So, all of my projects will be on hold for a little while. Which are my Crawler and TT.

Later fellas

Thanks buddy, I'm bringing my wife in tomorrow"thumbsup"
I wish I had a spool gun.
Tig welding aluminum and such small material can be a pain. I prefer steels, SS is my specialty:lol: I love Tig welding SS.
This is going to be my first attempt at building a tube chassis. I'll be using another chassis I have for a mock up, hopefully everything will work out.

What are you using to bend the tubing?

Later

I normally use a small hand bender but the aluminum is 3/16 solid rod so I am just using a vice and my fingers. it works good but only because its soild rod and not tube. You should make a tuber out of tig welded SS and polish the whole thing that would be cool, a work of art if it turned out good

lol, I was thinking about doing that.
Not to toot my own horn but, it would look insane. I am very anal when welding SS.
Now, where can I find some 3/16 SS tubing, hmmmmmm.
Oh boy, now you got me thinking;-)

I own a small machine shop , i am sure any metal supllier will have some or can get it . but you oughta look into a scrap metal bussiness you can get stuff alot cheaper from them if they happen to have what your looking for.
My welding is not so pretty so i add more on and them sand it off as long as its not cold. I would almost hate to roll something like that down the rocks to scratch it up though.

ohh here some updated pics i guess its time to start a build thread

OOOh a machinest, you lucky dog.
I'm looking at getting a mini milling machine for my garage. Trying to convince the wife:lol: .
I have a couple of suppliers that I get my material from. One is called All Stainless, great guys and great prices"thumbsup"

  You chassis is comeing along quite well. Looks awesome.
I'm still waiting for mine to come in. Hopefully it will be here today.
I'm using a chassis that was made for a mock up of one that I am building.

Oh, I forgot to say, I use a small tubing bender to bend my tubing. Works great, pretty clean and accurate to.

Hey Tig , what do you think?? there is a build thread started over in the 1.9 section
