Anyone else think the stock tires are too big?

The stock tires seem about a 33" tire to me?
Compare that to my 31"s with 4" lift.

Yes, but the wheel wells on the scx10 are MUCH larger than the stock vehicle. If your 1:1 cherokee had the same sized wells as the kit, your tires would look puny.

Overall, I think the stock tires on the kit are too wide primarily. Maybe just a tad too tall as well. But mostly just too wide.

They may be more like 35's or 37's.

My old Xj had 33x12.50x15's with 5'' lift in the front and 5.5'' in the rear with the big ugly flares

Your lines are closer to demarcating the top of the Notch Custom flares the Axial rig is sporting, not to opening. The rear opening can only go so big due to the rear doors.

This picture of my buddy's flareless and cut XJ on 35s might work better.

Now that I finally have a kit of my own and can mock up the tires, they do look like wide 35s. At least on the stock body.
Can't wait to try them under the old Proline, lol.
