Axial rr10

Went to put my VP diff cover off my yeti on, and the ring gear is on the opposite side.. Anyone else notice this or know why?

I finished my bomber today and got ticked when I went to do a simple test on the floor. I put a mamba monster X with HH 540XL sensored motor and put that on some vanquish curries. Much to my surprise, It goes in reverse when you press the throttle to go forward! I am really ticked about this because you can't do a simple axle ring and pinion swap to make it work. AND its a sensored motor SO if I just reverse it on my controller it doesn't work well because sensored motors DONT LIKE REVERSE! ALSO, Its a sensored motor so I can't switch the wires either. Does anyone know what I can do?

UPDATE--- I was able to use the Castle Programmer and fixed it!

Should be able to reverse the position on the remote. I can switch directions on my DX3R no problem.

I have on my DX4R Pro. When you reverse it on the remote all it does is tell the trigger on the remote to do the opposite of what it is doing. It doesn't do anything for the motor itself..... Since it is a sensored motor it doesn't work well in reverse either.

I think you can reverse the + and - wires on the motor too. Do what maslin said though, sounds safer "thumbsup"

Relax dude. Use your castle link to reverse the direction. It's not even a actual problem

So I picked up a few pinions to try with the bomber. Both are axial. 15 and 17 tooth. They both say for 3mm shafts but the 15 inside hole is probably twice as large as the oem 12 and the 17. So it won't mount and wobbles. Is this an axial package error? Running standard spur and homes puller pro 3300 and regular speed hd gears in front and back. Havnt ran it yet but according to manual the 15 is middle of gearing for speed and crawl. Going to try the 12 and see how it goes.

Sounds like a package error to me. Probably a 5mm size shaft.

I wouldn't expect much crawling with a 15 or 17t pinion. Most guys are dropping down to 10 or 11 for crawling. 15/64 3300kv is going to be fast, 17 is going to be really fast. Locked solid axles aren't really up for that kind of speed, in my experience.

I'm on a 15/64 on a 3000kv stock/under drive r&p and if I didnt have a 2 speed it would suck on a trail and run super hot even with a 550 can motor.

Cool. Ill try the 12 then and see how it goes. I'm looking for more of a trail vehicle so that's why I am going with just regular hd gears.

I tried conformal coating my gen2 tekin 13.5T and HW 120amp sensored motor/esc combo and screwed up the motor sensor. It runs ok in unsensored mode but so much cogging. It is the perfect speed I think though, but tons of traction roll. I'm going to try the spektrum AVC receiver in it because it has completely changed the handling of my YXL which was kind of uncontrollable on 6s before but now is a screaming dart that goes wherever I want it to with no rolling at all.

Well, I am here to tell ya. This thing is a very capable crawler. I have a Wraith I run on G6 and on long trail runs. It is setup with the MMP and Roc412. I am going to keep the RR10 brushed with the addition of the 2 speed tranny upgrade for 2.2 scale comps. Ran it today on some pretty technical terrain today. And I am truly impressed.

My son's ;-) Bomber is on the way. Man Tower is quick. Ordered yesterday, shipped today. Nice!

One of the videos I watched, the guy said the stock servo crapped before finishing the 1st battery. I want to get one lined up before Christmas so we don't have down time. Which servo do y'all recommend? I read the Solar D772 is good but I'm scared of cheap.

Anyone using a Spektrum S6090 steering servo? Or Spektrum servo quality in general?

I put the stock servo in a sct and the piece of crap wont return to center half of the time. I've had 3 of these servos and none have lasted me more than a couple packs. One stripped gears and the other 2 have had electronic issues.
