Axial rr10

Would the stock servo be a good choice to use with the two speed transmission for shifting? Then I could get an upgrade to replace it on the front for steering.

Yeah the stock servo has plenty of power. Axial specifies 80 oz in for shifting. I put a mini Hitec in mine.

So with the 2 speed kit and installed what gearing would be best to keep the stock 35t cool? Or is stock gearing good?
This is kind of answered above but that seemed more towards brushless.

Well the upgrades are complete. The puller pro 3300 is so damn fast. I think it's faster or as fast as my old slash. Running a 12 t pinion and a 10 is on the way. Hd regular gears front and back. I really need some better shocks to keep it more stable for high speeds but it will mostly be trailing. It can get away real quick. Full throttle from a stop and it's a flip. Fun fpv experience that's for damn sure.

Are you talking about the Puller Pro stubby? I am on the fence between it and the regular version.

Yes. Fits great. Works great. Just super fast. Like someone before me my motor direction is reversed so I have to take it Apart again and reverse the direction of the esc. Used the throttle reverse trick for a shakedown run.

I got the Puller Pro 3300 Stubby and the BLE Pro esc. Ran the truck for firs time today. Lots of torque to launch and bump good top end. Running it with stock gears and 2s.

I just ordered the puller pro 3500kv, probly going to be too fast! I'm going to try the spektrum AVC to keep 'er under control at speed. We'll see how it works when everything comes in. I better order a smaller pinion too.

Just dropped the bomb on one! Hope it's fun stock. Not looking to upgrade anything unless I have to.

I think it's a blast stock. I was a little disappointed with the speed at first. It is fast enough for my crawling/bashing dry creek bed. The stock stuff is tough enough so far. I am still going to go brushless for bashing around the yard. I'm sure I will have to upgrade some suspension parts then.

Some. Nice low budget upgrades to mine were the titan 550 21t and a 15 tooth pinion. Total $25/and made a huge change in fun.
For strictly rocks the stock combo will do.

Yes I'm running the 12 so I'd go lower. I am using the h d gear set..regular drive..so not too sure how that effects speed but I know they wouldn't last too long with this power. Also did a metal mount. Biggest thing I'm trying is to use the wild boars with the carter fab collars. See how well they hold up. Maybe mip will have an rr10 set by then instead of piecing together two different drive sets. Not like I've spent enough on this already. Need to start a thread so everyone can see.

Ok yeah, the 43/13T hd gear set looks to be the slowest I might go with that. Definitely would be good to have a separate thread for those wanting to try to go fast with this thing!

I finished my bomber today and got ticked when I went to do a simple test on the floor. I put a mamba monster X with HH 540XL sensored motor and put that on some vanquish curries. Much to my surprise, It goes in reverse when you press the throttle to go forward! I am really ticked about this because you can't do a simple axle ring and pinion swap to make it work. AND its a sensored motor SO if I just reverse it on my controller it doesn't work well because sensored motors DONT LIKE REVERSE! ALSO, Its a sensored motor so I can't switch the wires either. Does anyone know what I can do?

I was able to use the castle programmer and it works great! I have only ran it on the carpet in my living room over obstacles like pillows and such and I absolutely love it! This is by far my favorite Axial RC yet....

I am going to get my brushed Holmes Hobbies Torque master expert 540 13t installed with the SSD 2 speed for the tranny. After running the Bomber this weekend I am looking for crawling and trailing Demon,8) this is it.. I have enough cars that fly like bullets on brushless systems. It was great to really relax and find good lines on the rocks"thumbsup" and the 2 speed will give me enough wheel speed to be a very happy guy. At least that's the plan. Oh also the VP brass wheel weights that I took off my XR10 made a world of difference up front.
I wanted to try the tires that came with the Bomber but they will not mount up using the weights. So I dismounted the Baja T/A kr2's and put them on a set of VP SLW rims I had. 250 hubs up front and 450 hubs on the rear. Could use a bit stiffer foams but the tires are pretty cool. Well worth the time spent to do the change.

Boy. What's up with axial quality control? First wrong sized pinion in package and now two sets of trail hd wheels with different sets of hardware. Self tapping in one and machine threads in the other. Guess I know why everyone buys vanquish wheels now.

The Axial elves are working triple time so the demands are met for Christmas

They're just making sure that no one actually chooses to run those terrible wheels.

You don't have to buy VP, there are plenty of quality wheels available at a lower price point.

I have the RC4WD Torque 2.2 wheels on my Wraith and they are awesome wheels. They hold the bead very good and they are KILLER scale Dick Capek look alike dead on. $129 a set at the LHS.

Sorry about that. We made a running change to machine thread screws on all our bead lock wheels. Looks like you ended up with one package of each.

Shoot me a message and I will help you out if you haven't already got a hold of customer service.

I sent to Amazon for a replacement that is on the way. So should I have the machine screws or the self tapping? Instructions look like machine screws. Thanks.
