Looks like the spring hanger are going to hit the lower filler panel . I guess it will have to go as well .

Re: Badd's Billy Bob

Oh my....I love cutting up bodies....but I have to say my heart skipped a beat when I looked at your cut.

This will be ultimate goodness, I'm sure of it. Me on the edge of my seat.

Re: Badd's Billy Bob

I finished cutting the bed up last nite .
BillyBob016.jpg

I also got the interfenders rough shaped .
BillyBob019.jpg

Today I bobbed the drop bed kit . I also got both the interfenders finished .
BillyBob018.jpg

I also got the bobbed parts of the OG bed glued .

Now to let it a set and dry . I'm thinking about doing a spray in type bed liner .

Oh yes my new grill came in today . So I guess this build is now going to be a 1982 .

You can see to full cab back in the pic above . Not sure yet but thinking about cutting the cab and bed apart . I think it will look much better .

Re: Badd's Billy Bob

You can never have too many Bruiser Hilux builds. Always like Bob, Billy Bob sholds be even Baddass...er"thumbsup"

Re: Badd's Billy Bob

The original bob is still one of the reasons I have the itch to build a yota one day.

This may push me closer yet "thumbsup"

Re: Badd's Billy Bob

I got time this morning to work on the grill a bit .
First I cut the lower part away .
BillyBob028.jpg

Next I did some cutting and grinding, followed by a lot of sanding .
BillyBob030.jpg

BillyBob032.jpg

I stopped by Wally World and got a mini sorter for the expanded metal in it . Cost me $2.96 I think .
BillyBob033.jpg

Looks like it is about ready for some paint .

Re: Badd's Billy Bob

Well I got time to work on the grill alittle more last nite . I had painted the grill with a semi gloss paint and hated it . So I stripped the paint of and started over . I also made the backing for my Toyota emblem I got from MTHead . Then repainted it with some satin black . It turn out much better I think .
