well at least the 2.2's wont be low profile stadium truck style. and the 3.0 is 5" so a mutant 2.2 will be pretty easy.

The 2.2 is also 5 inches. Why make a mutant?


To be competitive, 5 inches is about as tall as you'd want to go with the 12.5 inch wheel base rule.

i thought you said they were 2.2 moab height my bad there are no specs on the proline page you think you could post up a few here so no one else makes a fool of them self's. a moab isnt 5" tall

The moab is just about 5 inches. Listed at 4.95.

The 3.0 is five inches.

Why would anyone want a 2.2 tire to be larger than 5 inches anyway. Hell....the Losi's are under 5 inches and are plenty big. If you go taller than 5 inches, the wheel base of a 2.2 comp rig will need to be lengthened. There is no need to go to 5.25 or 5.5 like some are asking.

Clod bases 2.2 rigs need the larger tires for axle clearance.

A 2.2 Clod took 3rd at the 2006 Nationals. ;-) Grover is up in your area nowadays. 8)

I'm glad they are in M2 compound, like you said Dirk, I think the M3 would allow the treads to fold over too easily.

Odd, a Clod worked pretty well for me last year. :?

These were not originally designed or intended for crawling. In fact, they were supposed to be 4.5 inches tall or less, to be used for the rear of a stadium truck. I believe the pictures were just taken today and put on the crawler very quickly for the release.

Sounds like fear in the Losi drivers already. haha

yep, Chad is here, nothing too impressive in 2.2 in awhile but his Super class game is very good. "thumbsup" I see Chad coming on strong once he gets his GC-1 dialed in, the guy can drive.

You have to admit a 2.2 Clod is a very dated rig compared to what is out there now and were we are in the 2.2 class as of this year. The Clod 2.2 is just too big and heavy for today's standards is my opinion.


Back to the Badland 2.2's. I have messed with that tread design and really liked it. The draw back was I did a hybrid off an 1/8th scale tire and it was a little too short of a tire. I see good things with this new tire."thumbsup"
