Been working on this stuff. I don't know the words to describe the flavors but it burns when you sniff it, and then it's not good, then hurts a little, then it's gone.

so I just read through this whole thread... and now I want a beer. but don't have any. darnit.

so, why not more mention of Tommyknockers? that place was FANTASTIC when we went there last year when we went to Co for Rocas Rojas. I'm super disappointed that we aren't going this year so I can't get more tommyknockers Maple Nut... yummmmm. and, of course, can't buy any out here. is that not a local favorite? I know I'd be getting wasted there daily if I lived nearby...

so I have a proposition for those in Co that have access to tommyknockers : I will go on a hunt for Pliny the Elder, and exchange a case of that for a case of tommyknockers (if someone can tell me how to safely ship beer)...

Kloster Reutberg Doppel Bock or Export Hell

Hard to find. Only aboth a few hundred ARMY Special Forces that were stationed at Bad Toelz In Bavaria Germany got to taste that awesome beer. Thanks to them they began to import it to the US and now I can find it at a few BEV MO's around here. $5 a bottle, but it's Soooooooo good.

I did a Paper on West coast IPAs and that was one of the taste testers and ya it really is shit.

I just finished a 6 pack of Two Brothers Brew Co (Illinois) Resistance IPA that is aged in French Oak Fondres. Ew la la. Wasn't bad, but not $11/six pack good. Not too me anyways. So I rinsed my mouth out with the always enjoyable Hop Stoopid.

Today I got a new Tilt flavor, it's red and 12%. Nice kick in the pants for playing drums on Guitar Hero. :mrgreen:

And 30 fresh new Natty's! Woo woo!

I have been through many brands of beer since this thread has started. I am now on the Coors Light. It has a great taste and it is made with water from the fawkin rockies. Fawk that Ice stuff, it made by big belly even bigger.

Wow, almost forgot about this thread.
Here is one I cracked open bout a week and a half ago with some friends.
A 1994 Sam Adams Triple Bock. Yes, it was 16 years old!

And here are a couple I had tonight.
'02 Unibroue Quelque Chose on ice. (had one heated the other night, both ways are awesome)

Then an '09 Lost Abbey Red Poppy. Excellent sour!

I am a HUGE fan of all things Deschutes. They are out of Bend, Oregon...and by far my favorite beers. I started with Black Butte Porter, but Obsidian and Mirror Pond are lovely as well. I pray that some day soon I can move back to Cali to be able to enjoy my favorite beers of all time.

Tried Guinness for the first time the other night, had Guinness Draught. It's not too bad, nice taste to it, nice aftertaste as well. Going to get a bottle of Extra Stout next time I go to the liquor store. Also had a Sam Adams Boston Lager, perhaps the most overrated beer in history? I found it pretty gross, it was really strong to me with as much carbonation as pop (which I hate).

It was only $2.19 a bottle at the liquor store (yes we have tax up the arsehole here).
