$2200 a freakin bottle!?

Those guys have won some awards, for sure. I'll have to see if I can find those IPAs.

Screaming Eagle, oakville, napa valley, 2003

well, i hate to admit this, but here it goes, i didnt know about the whole IPA beer thing untill this thread. ive been drinking typical american regular and light beer due to the budget, and when money is on the inflow i like good english beers in general, bass, guiness, boddingtons, and a few others. so last night me and my love went to a 5 star resturaunt masons in sacramento (best god damn steak in my life good) and they had 3 beers to choose from and wine up to $2200.00 per bottle  im like wtf. anyways i got me Le freak, from green flash brewery. yeehaaa that boy had some kick.. like 9 point something percent alchohol. one big beer and i had a good buzz going...

looks like it may have won a 2nd place prize here

I love Belgian beers and I love IPA's so this one is definitely going on the list 8).

Got a new Dishwasher on Saturday, and as things typically go for me, I wrenched my back getting the old one out. Left work early today, and figured I'd stop and pick up some pain relief. I scored on two "Pliny the Elders" but figured I would save one for my girlfriend. So I looked around and saw this guy.......I really like Sierra Nevada, and have looked for this for awhile so I grabbed it.

For a Wet Hop beer, I thought it would have more aroma.....it's really good, but I should have grabbed another bottle of Pliny. That stuff is my favorite, but $6 a bottle is kicking my beer budget in the nuts......I really need to figure out how to brew that stuff myself!

I get a boner for IPAs, and my neighbor.

So maybe with your IPAs I'll build up the nerve to go talk to my neighbor.

It's great how a lot of the really good beers are brewed right here in sunny San Diego. No wonder it was just voted best beer city and SD beer week is only a month away.8)

Very True about SD so many good beers, Tyler and I will have to make it down for the beer week .

Went to BevMo to see if they had any of those "Pliney the Elders"...no luck.

I did pick up this bad boy. Saw a poster on the back of a beer truck the other morning so I figured I will give it a shot. "Hop Juice" brewed by Left Coast brewery out of San Clemente CA. I boasts a 9.4% alcohol rating  on the bottle it says they use 4 pounds of hops per barrel. As for the taste...I am about 3 swigs into it, still not used to it and I think I am catching a buzz already8)
