I wanting to put one in my E-Maxx for racing, what kind should I go with and prices would be nice to. I will be running 3800 ProMatch Matched packs with it. I searched the site and found nothing really.

Castle is coming out with a Mamba setup for maxxes, I'd wait till that comes out, mid range setup is going to be a 55mph setup.

Your best bet would be to go with something like a BK 9920 esc with a BK wanderer 7xl or 9xl motor you can get the whole setup for about $300 its a little more than novak but it will be about twice as fast. That's just my opinion. There's another forum with all kinds of brushless info for emaxx's and stampede's and such. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to mention another forum so..............

Novak's BL ESC's are sensored, so they only work with a motor that has the appropriate sensor in it, like the Novak motors. This is fine if you intend to use the whole system as is, but if you ever want to piece something together, just remember a Novak BL ESC (escept for their new "universal" ESC's that do both brushed and brushless, can't remember the name of it right now-GTB?) requires a sensor to work.

If it's going in a Maxx, don't even think about the smaller ones. I've seen 'em blow up because of the weight. The HV-Maxx is the only way to go if you're going Novak. But I'm waiting for the Mamba Maxx

I have a fellow racer with a 5.5 gtb setup in his maxx, it's a much faster system than the hv he took out. Can you say power wheelie. I guess none of you will understand how much more power the gtb system has unless you've tried it. I have seen both in a maxx and the gtb was much stronger. Yet again this is only my opinion/experience take it how you will.
The big problem with any brusless in a maxx sized rig is they are a heavy truck. That much torque and that much weight with plastic gears......well you get the idea.

Well considering I would have to buy it myself. I would not want a $300 system in it, but would be nice. Also 20 more bucks and you could have another E-Maxx. LOL. I just want something speedy and kind of cheap but not to cheap, cause I want it to last. Also will be putting one in my On-Road car. I raced with out one last season and placed 3rd in state so speed is just waht I need there. Just to make lap times faster. and maybe get first. this year. Keep the ideas coming tho. I need them. I did look at the HV maxx kit and that seems to be nice I think a couple people around here are running that but I aint sure just thinking.

Yeah I kow that I did not realize the price drifferences so heck if I go this way I mides well go all the way with the better stuff. Heck just a littel more money. Thats the only difference, and quilty.
