So the key to all this is that although Trump's sons manage the Trump Organization (TO), he still has an ownership interest in the organization. Even though he's not calling the shots on the TO side, he is definitely in a position to profit from being the President(hence he never divested).

The case in in discovery, and the last big update was that Trump's appeal was declined.
For the first time in history, a court ruled on the meaning of the Emoluments Clauses. In the ruling, a federal judge agreed with the District and Maryland’s interpretation that the Constitution prohibits the president from accepting almost anything of value from foreign or domestic governments.
