BEST Trump video EVER

Considering he spends 1 out of every 3 days at one of his own luxury properties, paying himself with tax payer money, and requiring his “entourage” to stay there as well is one example. I’ve also read that he pays himself more than what they would normally charge for these stays as well.

This does a good job getting into some details, https://www.politico.com/news/2020/01/20/trump-businesses-empire-tied-presidency-100496

Another one...

Trump family business profits from reelection bid - CBS News

Coming up he also wants to hold the G7 at his golf course. $$$

I don’t see Biden as a great option for President, but I see him as harmless. He’ll give America a chance to heal for 4 years and hopefully the parties can get their $#it together by then.

All presidents, congressmen amd senators leave Washington millionaires. And its wrong period.
They arent our leaders, they are elected.
Elected officials are on the goverment tit, no differant than welfare. Millionaires they should not be.

As previously stated, the Trump administration, like three preceding his, have been shit-shows, no doubt.

With that, I am not sure how you are saying that he is lining his pockets. He gives his pay check to charity. You are suspicious of a millionaire that took a pay cut to be a politician, but are not concerned with someone who became a politician then became a millionaire?

Sadly, just like the last round, our alternative is no better. You think "Sniffy-Joe" would be better? Nope, the left, libbies and Dems really had no intention of winning this election, and really are just securing their bitching rights for the next four years. If they had been serious, they would have pushed the typical pre-election BS aside, gotten their 10 best ponies in a room, had them throw all of their skeletons out on the table, then picked the best President and VP candidate under a united front. They didn't.

Bingo.
But if we read nonsense like CNN, MSNBC, Politico, Huffington, it’s business as normal. Anyone that doesn’t understand Joe sold out to China years ago, is blind, stupid, or deranged.
TDS running wild!!

HUH????

Harmless, you’re scary.
Why would the NYPD not endorse Joe?
Heal, yeah in Chinese Hospitals.

Mike, I would like to respond, but you haven’t really made a point and have glossed over any source or points I made other than anecdotally saying you disagree, but with other words.

I got nothing to go off of here, but why would anyone care who the NYPD endorses for president? I don’t care who endorses who in general, endorsements are meaningless.

As a general response to the point that presidents leave office in better shape, yes this is to be expected. But we can’t ignore the unique position Trump is in. He’s not just writing a book or something like that. He’s literally using tax payer money to pay for his own expenses at his own properties. This should be illegal, and to some extent I think it is, but of course he’s been able to work around that, for now.

The point is, find the factual news, your sources aren’t to be believed. From what I’ve researched Trump isn’t liked by a small % of RINOS(McCains)
And hated by Democrats. The “DNC” showed no platform or anything other than “BeatTrump” After the Obama nightmares ended, Employment and stock’s finally up, Biden’s Buds unleash WuHan/Covid, and economic growth dies. Coincidence? Better check Donald’s net worth, it’s declined since entering office. He’s also a businessman who works much harder than most of us do. Don’t confuse the democratic fighting points when trying to explain Trump.....It’s usually not factual

The thing in these discussions is that nobody is going to change their mind anyway.
And what a dramatic election. Sounds like a choice between heaven or hell, one way or the other. That's weird in a democracy. One should be able to find some middle way. That's kind of the point with democracy. What a farce.

Omg.. I just watched some highlights from speeches at the Republican National Convention.
It looked like a charismatic church sermon.
I thought the constitution demanded separation of Church vs State?

They talked about Trump as if he's the second coming of Christ. Really! I've never heard such language. He's a force of good, and Biden is Evil, basically. China also..

So, why the **** don't Christians, or all people, object to this!?? It's such a blatant abuse of Christian beliefs and terminology that it is i n s a n e..

This isn't politics any more.. it's religion.

Well that what happened in Roe vs Wade.
That has never stopped since then. As long as Biden ( Facebook Catholic) follows the Abortion plank of the Democrats, it will always be front and center like it or not as It a major issue for Women and many others.

Many Bible Banging Christians are conservative.

As far as Separation of Church and State, that’s in GOVERNMENT, not political conventions.

But I can't take it anymore. It drives me nuts, and I don't even live in the US. I can't even imagine how it's for you guys.
I just can't take politicians' self-praise, whoever they are, especially if they add religion to the mix. It kills me.

That being said, whoever wins, whatever happens, I hope it turns out as good as possible for ordinary folks!

That what Trump is about, he’s the anti politician. He was rich before, so that’s not his motivation. A friend from Belgium told me American news is given to us by CNN. And it’s still fake news there too!

That’s why I preferred Reuter’s.

I don't understand the logic that if Trump is rich he has nothing to gain from being in office. Like Topher Build's mentioned earlier, he's used his political influence to enrich himself and the Trump organization in ways that will likely have an effect on politics and how ethics are monitored for years.

I STILL hear Conservatives bitch about the the Whitewater controversy, but then act like Trump not divesting from his interests is not only not a big deal, but pretend that he is above corruption. We're pissing away decades of precedent away for bullshit identity politics that do nothing but limit our ability to hold our elected officials accountable.

I have news for ya'll, he's not 'anti-politician' he literally is a politician.

If you think that's bad, just remember that each state has it's own liquor laws. I can't buy booze on Sundays in Texas because some Christians used their faith to justify bullshit laws that don't in any way align with my spiritual beliefs. I love this country, but we do some stupid shit sometimes.

Please show me all this claimed “enrichment “
No CNN links either. Facts are truth.

No Donald is not a politician, look at his tweets.... that should teach how he thinks.

Utter Bovine Scatology.

Go to Reuter’s and get me real facts.
You’re so confident that you can, But you will discover that most “facts” come from CNN, MSNBS, Politico, and of course the notable Huffington Post.

60% of Washington is running scared [emoji33] because they’ve been exposed, and Retirement Benefits can evaporate quickly. The swamp is filled to the brim, on both sides of the aisle,

So do I need to wear a tinfoil hat or read so many easily proven lies.

Well hell, what's one more, let me know if you need help updating your signature. All from Reuters as requested.

So the key to all this is that although Trump's sons manage the Trump Organization (TO), he still has an ownership interest in the organization. Even though he's not calling the shots on the TO side, he is definitely in a position to profit from being the President(hence he never divested).

His hotel in DC is easy to pick on. Firstly it's important to understand that the constitution states that:

U.S. Constitution, Article II, Section 1, Clause 7 -The Presidential Emoluments Clause:
The President shall, at stated Times, receive for his Services, a Compensation, which shall neither be encreased nor diminished during the Period for which he shall have been elected, and he shall not receive within that Period any other Emolument from the United States, or any of them

U.S. Constitution, Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 -The Foreign Emoluments Clause:
[N]o Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under [the United States], shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State

For the inspector general's report:
https://www.gsaig.gov/sites/default...O Building Lease_January 16 2019_Redacted.pdf

Reuter's article detailing how the GSA failed to consider the Emolument's clause in their investigation of the hotel:
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...concerns-over-trump-hotel-lease-idUSKCN1PA2WU

TLDR: TO created a shell organization that allowed to say that the President is independent in appearance, but in fact the TO and by extension, the President stands to profit from the venture, again, because he has not divested his interests in the TO. A federal court judge agreed in 2018: https://oag.dc.gov/about-oag/emoluments-lawsuit

And further detail from the Maryland AG regarding why they believed he broke these clauses.

Focusing on the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., in which the President has a 76% interest, the complaint alleges that the Hotel markets itself to the diplomatic community and that, as a result, (1) the Embassy of Kuwait held its National Day celebration at the Hotel on February 22, 2017, spending an estimated $40,000 to $60,000; (2) the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia “spent thousands of dollars on rooms, catering, and parking” at the Hotel in January and February 2017; and (3) Georgia’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations stayed at the Hotel at the Georgian government’s expense. Beyond benefits received from the Hotel, the complaint also alleges that the President has violated the Foreign Emoluments Clause by receiving (1) income from various foreign states and foreign officials patronizing Trump Tower and Trump World
USCA4 Appeal: 18-2486 Doc: 57 Filed: 07/10/2019 Pg: 7 of 36
8 Tower in New York City; (2) a favorable trademark decision from the Chinese government; (3) income from the international distribution of “The Apprentice” and its spinoffs; and (4) income from real estate projects in which the Trump Organization is engaged in the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia.

The case in in discovery, and the last big update was that Trump's appeal was declined.
For the first time in history, a court ruled on the meaning of the Emoluments Clauses. In the ruling, a federal judge agreed with the District and Maryland’s interpretation that the Constitution prohibits the president from accepting almost anything of value from foreign or domestic governments. That includes money from business transactions like those the lawsuit alleges are occurring at the Trump International Hotel.

But that's not all! Here's another case:
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...r-stir-more-emoluments-concerns-idUSKCN1S80PP

Congressional staffers confirmed to Reuters that the Trump World Tower lease requests were never submitted to Congress. Elijah Cummings, chairman of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, said his committee has been “stonewalled” in its efforts to obtain detailed information about foreign government payments to Trump’s businesses.

“This new information raises serious questions about the President and his businesses’ potential receipt of payments from foreign governments,” Cummings said in a statement to Reuters. “The American public deserves full transparency.”

Sound famiar?

He tried to host the G7 Summit at one of his resorts, which falls under the same umbrella as the first few stories, again showing he has no comprehension of how independence works:
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...ting-at-his-florida-golf-resort-idUSKBN1WZ01E

But it's not like they can even tell you how much they've earned from foreign governments:
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...rofits-from-foreign-governments-idUSKBN18K2EP

He also get's paid by us in more ways than one!
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...olf-resort-77000-ahead-of-visit-idUSKBN1K72TF

That's what I dug up using your qualifications in like 30 minutes from the website you supposedly read.

The swamp is filled to the brim, on both sides of the aisle

But didn't you say he drained it? :lmao:

TDS, did you really read this one?

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...concerns-over-trump-hotel-lease-idUSKCN1PA2WU

You blame Trump, that’s not at all close to this, now did you read the Forbes bit, same story for the last three years.
You think he should walk away from his lively hood? But Biden’s become a millionaire off of his “service “

Smoke another one and drain that longneck, You’re not really honest about any of this, and your “facts”prove the point.

Yep the swamp is draining, much too slowly for most Americans.
But the lifers don’t wanna rock the halls too quickly, civil service has its rules
So you go laugh, it shows a lot.

I'm not really surprised that you have that opinion, but yes I 1000% think Trump should not 1) make money from foreign powers 2) make money beyond his salary from being the President, but my opinion doesn't really matter because it's in the constitution.

I'd greatly enjoy an explanation of your love of unsolicited haiku's, but I suspect that's a mystery that will never be solved. After this a beer does sound nice ....

So are you really going to puss out on this signature thing?

This is the first paragraph that you missed..

Federal officials handling.
As a businessman you negotiate a lease, etc, then the lawyers look at it, then the regulators do. Sounds like they follow the rules, as all good businesses do, if an issue arises, adjust said issues, SOP. Read the real financials, He’s not making what he could and should, Joes entire life is a Chinese payoff.

The feds did a bad job on the lease and the GSA did a bad job investigating the whole deal but I have absolutely no clue how that would somehow clear Trump in any capacity or how / why you think that's relevant. Is it not possible that they did a bad job AND Trump not divesting made his relationship with the property unconstitutional? No part of that indicates that I didn't read the article and every part of your post shows a lack of understanding and basic reasoning skills, which is whatever, but let's not pretend like you've somehow caught me in the act.

Read the real financials, He’s not making what he could and should, Joes entire life is a Chinese payoff.

The tax returns he's never going to release, or the financial disclosures that he's been promising since May? It doesn't matter what he is, or isn't making it matters who he's making it from, it's literally in the constitution.
