Managed to pull of an 82nd at ECC..Courses were brutal, had some issues that cut me short on time finishing a couple courses or I would have placed a bit better.Oh well...I had fun!! If anyone has pics of my rig on course please post them!!

Well I made some small changes to the rig after getting back from ECC..First thing,I changed out the axial comp shocks for Losi shocks, the losi shocks just perform more consistently in my opinion..I used 50wt in the fronts and 40wt in the rears, both with stock valving.Second I removed the 5oz's I had in each rear wheel which lightened the rig dramatically and improoved forward traction.Performs alot better now on vertical climbs, and suspension action is way more predictable. All around night a day difference.

noticed that you have gone between several motor choices, cobalts, 30t jph? etc....

in your opinion what motors have been the most reliable best wheel speed torque motors?

i tried 45t thru 10 turn cobalts thinking of trying jph. i just really want to get a good motor that performs, id appreciate any advice you can give me ___----- thanks.

btw THAT RE GEAR KIT IS AWESOME i have tried my hardest to destroy it and i am convinced, its indestructible, i never even worry about dragging it on the rocks!!!! "thumbsup""thumbsup"

I have to say the best motor I have used has been the 30t Holmes Handwounds. It's what I am using now and I am not changing again!!8)

They work awesome though, plenty of torque and the wheelspeed is perfect for me with 14t pinions. So the Holmes motor are what I recommend.Plus it's hard to beat holmes electronics in the crawler game.

And yes the re gear is a tough piece..I am still running my originals and I have beat, banged, ground them on rocks, cut grooves in rocks and they just laugh it off and keep kickin arsse..
