Black Label Crawlers "Chopper" MOA LCC Build!

So what is the gear ratio now with your new spur and 14t pinion? And what is the range in gearing now compared to the Eritex kit (stock)?

62.5 to 1 with a 14.

is the Ertex is 55 to 1?

I am going to try 13's for a 67.3 to 1.

Here are the final drive ratios for several pinions..

12t, 79.1:1
13t, 73.0:1
14t, 67.8:1
15t, 63.3:1
16t, 59.3:1

Whoops I got the 13 and 14 confused and messed up all my math. Going to have to swap the 13's I bought for 14's.

Yah I am VERY happy with the performance of the 14t's..My rig just flat out works so much better now.No stalling,no heat,no issues at all.
That great info for me. I am getting two HH 500 pullers and I was told the motors are like 30turns.

Thread hijack, Any way for me to tell what turn the motors are?

I love it.It's good to have option on pinions though..
and that's 50% of the reason why I ordered the kit, the other 50% is the 48 pitch will be quieter and should last longer.

I think JRH writes the turn on the side or there is a sticker one..

Yah you will have nice and quiet options that are much longer lasting..

On Ross's rig, after about 15 packs the 32p stockers had chewed the teeth down to about half the size they started as..There was metal shavings everywhere..

Absolutely, I have twice the run time on my 48p set-up as I did the 32p stuff. The 48 pitch looks new and the 32p was worn slap out:shock:

I know a 400 Puller is a 13Turn, I think a 500 Puller is around a 15Turn, I know it's not a 30 though!

I ran the 500 Pullers in my Losi MOA for a while. They work great but you do need to watch the temps. I swapped them for 10T Pullers and it's been a lot better"thumbsup" I think I will go to 7T Pullers in a little while though!

Are you running 4s on your 10t's Kenny?

3s. 4s would get the pullers smoking hot in the LCC!!! But I get a ton of low end and speed on the 3s so I'm happy for now. But I do like a LOT of wheel speed so I see the 7T pullers in the near future! I would run 5T's if I could get away with it!

I am running 30t's for now, till I get my 10t pullers...Before I did the re gear, they would get a little warm on me..With the new gears, they barely even get warm..So I think the 10t's are gonna be all good on 4s with the re gear..But I don't think the worms will handle much more than that. We'll see though..I'm gonna try 4s for sure..

ROSS did try a 6s pack in his with the 10t's..It would wheely and give a nice lightning show he said..But once you let off the gas,the stress put on the worms is severe..

im running 7t pullers in my moa losi, with the stock eritex gearing and its got some speed to it with 3s,youd prob. like it, its a little slower than i like but i like em real fast for that just in case  i am on the second batch for the regear so im sure that will knock a little wheelspeed off but if i can extend batt run times im fine with that 8)

Oh I know. I've had every puller John makes"thumbsup" Trying to find some 5T pullers now. I have 7's and 10's and some 500's.

The cobalt 500's are 12 turns and 5 poles I think and the rpm's should be close to a 30 turn motor IMHO. But your right the cobalt 500 are not 30 turn motors.
