I CAN NOT stand the T1E/beatlejuice/bodyless look.

Am i the only one. Why is everyone runnign them?

On that note...let's make this a bodiless rig picture thread.

Opinions...everyone has got one.

I dont like em either. I dont think there is any real advantage to them over a bodied rig aside of clearance. People will argue that they work better or roll over better, but the fact of the matter is, that regardless of where the mounting holes are, the truck can have a body or not, and still work the same. The body or no body is really a look. Perhaps they can roll over a little better, but then again, dont become on your roof:flipoff:

Definitley function over form.

I hated the bug body look at first. Switched to it and loved the rollover ability.

Hated the look of the bodiless rigs, Switched to a moonbuggy chassis. Not having a body can be very beneficial and reduces rig weight by a few ounces.

Comp rigs don't resemble any sort of 1:1 rig so why not chunk the body?

Just my .02

Not always true, I'm running the T1E stage chassis right now and the body I'm running with mounting hardware is about 1oz lighter than the Moonbuggy cab, and the weight is dispersed lower overall on the crawler.

I've ran em both ways and don't really have much of a preference. I just like bodies and I always like to be a little different than everyone else. I find that the bodies tend to slide better on the rocks when trying to roll over. The bodiless rigs tend to find holes when on their tops sometimes.

Really from what Ive seen the don't work any better and they REALLY SUCK at rolling over form what Ive seen.

Ill stay with my body"thumbsup"

I just dont understand the haterisms....if you want to run a body, that is all you. I for one dont like to use bodies because I have to hack the crap out of them just to make them clear my tires and terrain. But, I dont hate on others for running bodies.

No hate...I just don't like them. But I do really like the VW bug bodies which is pretty close. But I only bash with no comp aspirations or a place to even comp if I wanted to so it really doesn't matter what I have on top of my rig. Form FTW in my case.

Mine is almost pure comp. when i'm not in a comp me and my buddies (primarily Lil Lucifer) set-up the comps and practice lines.

i'm not hattin' on anyone for running them i just think they look like ass. and every build in the Bully Forum is with a beatle juice or T1E. woudl be nice to see some bodies

i see a body truck kick ass over a bodyless rig with the guy above drivin it so i dont see advantage eather way im a fan of a body

I think they are pretty ugly too. But if people are that serious about comps, and it works for them, then so be it. Me, I like my crawler to actually come similar to resembling a real vehicle instead of a space rover. But then again, I dont compete.
