Shaved the case, and tossed it together my bearings are 12x6x4 so I'm heading the the lhs tomorrow for some 11x6x4 so I can finish throwing it together. As it sits without the axles it's at 5oz

Re: CDW rebuild Chumper V2 to RT

I plan on it. Work is crazy right now, but ill try and work on it as much as I can.
My mindset right now is f@ck the lightweight shit, I likes muh bergs around 5.5lbs so I'm ditching the carbon wheels going with SLWs, gonna hit up chaotic for some links, and hopefully rcbros front tubes will be available soon. Ill do some rearranging of the electronics but not much after that. This rig is stout as is and I can say I wasnt very impressed with the super light rigs this last weekend.

Steve this thing is looking great and those skins are completely bad ass, I am in the same boat when it come to chasing weight. I am not convinced that the low fours and getting into the threes is a huge advantage and I just don’t have the time or skill to get my rig to perform as well when I take all the weight off it................... Although the damn Dlux gearboxes and tubes are looking tempting.

Re: CDW rebuild Chumper V2 to RT

This thread has kind of taken a backseat with work being busy, I've messed with it here and there but haven't had a real chance to update it.

Got the rear end buttoned up and and am VERY pleased with how it came out.
I also grabbed some SLWs from crawlerdad(thanks Marc), tossed on some scx shocks but kept the losi golds with the jeepindoug cups and the upper holders there isn't much lateral movement that I'm worried about.
I also slapped some sedonas on the sander, now it's a matter of waiting on a package from Eddie at CI, some skins, and a little help from the boys,(ahem) MEN from chaotic on some links.

Re: CDW rebuild Chumper V2 to RT

Ya got me. I couldn't get home fast enough this morning.

First, this skin are K I L L E R! The images are incredible and the quality of vinyl is bitchin! I couldn't have asked for more, not to mention the communication and design process, Michelle was great about making every little change I asked for without hesitation. Then there's the plates, that are sweet little pieces by themselves, I have some old ones when they made em on plastic, and the new ones blow those out of the water! The even come drilled and with itsy bitsy microscopic hardware to mount them.

Second, my vinyl application skills suck!:ror:

I give you: BANDIT1
