I wanna be Dave
i've read the whole thread, but can't find any mention of the reason for doing the tranny flip. It seems that the weight bias remains the same. Is it to equalise the drive shaft lengths and therefore reduce strain on drive train?
Exactly what svt said. Weight bias shifts forward a bit (how much depends on what battery pack you run), you get more room for an interior, and you completely hide the tranny/motor assembly if you want to use a cab back/truggy or flatbed. If you look at my first SCX10 II thread and then Roo's SCX10 II thread (which uses the Vaterra K10 truggy body), we discuss reasons and benefits in more detail. "thumbsup"
