I've been asked many times if the brake light controller's output could be shut off. This is it!
Two of the controllers are shown in this picture.
This controller watches the throttle signal to send power to your brake and reverse lights. It will send power to a driving light output that will turn on when you are going forward. If you don't touch the throttle, the brakes come on. If the brakes are on for thirty seconds, the hazard output flashes on and off until you move the throttle again.
There is another input on the controller that connects to a two position channel for activating your headlights. When the headlights are on, the tail lights also come on. The tail lights are actually the brake lights which will be lit dimly when the brakes aren't on.
There is also a pair of pins that are "always on" for your convenience.
Part Number: BKFWRVHSW
$45 for this controller, plus shipping.
LED and resistor Pack $10
I can offer the following LEDs for a low price
6 of White 5mm LEDs (two for headlights, two for reverse lights, two for driving lights)
2 of Red 5mm LEDs (for brake/tail lights)
4 of Orange 5mm LEDs (for Hazard lights)
That's 12 LEDs complete with the proper resistors. You just have to wire them to the controller
Here is a guide for wiring LEDs. Give it a try!
