Got a motor sounds like its whining. I have a few different aerosol electrical cleaners. Do you guys flush them out after dirty or wet or gritty dusty runs?

Yes I spray on mine with contact cleaner untill the liquid comes out clean. Then I put a small amount of oil on the bushing/bearing.

motors on my comp rigs I'll spray out with a motor spray every now and then.. spray the cleaner until it comes out clean. Then blow motors out with air compressor to dry them. Then add a drop of oil on each bearing.
I don't submerg my comp rigs in water on purpose. However on my scaler if my motor got submerged while driving it I'd clean like above... above I'd call a quick clean the best way to clean your motors is to take them apart clean with soap and water or spray blow them out with air compressor and 1 drop of oil per bearing.

If you plan on running you motor in deep mud I'd figure out a way to filter out large debris or buy a sealed motor.

On Holmes Hobbies site you can find great info on motor care"thumbsup"

Great info below

I never thought of the oil. But makes sense. I probably could have gotten a few extra miles out of my sons Titan 12T. It smoked after almost a year. After removing it I noticed that the bushing on the outsmart was wiped out, lots of slop. I flushed it a Fe times with electrical cleaner when he win gravel but never oiled it. I will have to do that with my crawlers
