Bulldog's Screamin 2 Southern Buggy

It must have been my subconscious talking! I totally forgot that's what you named your rig, until I saw your post tonight! I'll change his name. Billy McGraw doesn't work for me. Tim Cyrus neither. I'll sleep on it and get back to you.

Wait until you see how I built his body. You're going to laugh your ass off. It's rough, but it works! Totally a MacGruber setup. HMMMM, I think I may have found a new name!

Ok, ready to laugh? Here you go. I always wanted to do a driver like this and it's the only way I could figure to do it. I wanted more than a bobble head, so with the weight of the clay, I had to counter weight it with some fishing sinkers mounted on some allthread that loops through a styrene tube and rotates on two screws.

Looks like shit, but it works. For arms and legs I'm going to use coat hangers and caulk saver foam. With this setup, the inertia will cause the driver's head to lean into a turn and bounce from side to side will driving.

All the mechanical mess will be hidden with clothes and some styrene and shoe goo.:roll::roll:8)8)8)

Thanks guys. Never add up your parts. I repeat, never add up your parts! You just don't want to know!

I got some bad news. My heaven on earth weather here in San Diego is expecting rain. My expected finish and video plans are probably on hold. Dammit!!! Should be some quality shop time though. "thumbsup"

All I can picture is Ace Ventura bouncing all over the place, zoom out, smooth road. LMAO!!

In hear ya on the crappy weather. We had the snow storm Christmas Day followed by rain nearly every day. Son still hasn't gotten to run his new truck yet.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: You know I'm going to be Thinking about that the whole time I'm filming! I tried to get the balance just right, so it shouldn't be as goofy as a bobble head. A little scale driving and Ace should bring the performance of a lifetime.:flipoff:

This driver is killing me! It's one thing to get him working, its another whole process to get him in and attached. Here's some stupid pictures. I cut his clothes to fit and his body is now fitting in the buggy. Now I don't know I'm going to mount him to the seat, the seat to the interior. Ugggh. Worst part is, it all has to be removable to get my battery in and out. I'm really going to build a jeep next time. On to the stupid pics.
Wire and caulk saver foam for the legs. Light and bendable to the right shape.

I'll be painting his boots brown and his shirt is now gray and he'll be wearing Blue jeans.

We'll see what tomorrow holds!
