Carter Fab & Machine Custom Scaler Axle Housings

So wait, can you make custom tube lengths for the VP Curries? LIke say....XR10 length....or even shorter than Scx10?

Yup, or centered Wraith...

So thats for the rear which looks great, how about the front? I like that you make the tubes use the wraith link mounts instead of the wider SCX10 ones.

Those were Wraith link mounts to match a front Wraith axle. I can build dang near anything axle combo you can think up. Width, offset, link configuration, mixing materials, doesn't matter.

Haha no. These have still got some time to go. The "Ultimate 9's" are on the chop block now but they are almost done and ready to be shipped off to have everything welded up.

What is the price for a set of these axles. I like the Rockwell look

The BlackRock60s setup like this run $700 for a matched set.
Have to buy;
Rc4wd black wells at $360 a pair
VP VVDs at $95
VP knuckles and c hubs at $85
Rear shafts at $25
That's $565
Leaving less than $70 per housing for labor. That's very reasonable. Just has a sticker shock when it's not broken down n

Ok, I see. One more question. On the RC4WD Centered Diff Housing for the Wraith, will the VP work on them?

Will the VP what work on them?
The RC4wd centered diff is simply that.
The lockouts, diff cover, bearing caps, and lower link mounts are all interchangeable with any other brand or stock plastic part. You can use a VP AX10 upper axle truss for the rear for a more scale look but will have to drill and tap 2 holes where it attaches to the tubes, no biggie.
The rear shafts have to either be the steel RC4wd shafts, modified rear long side stock shafts, or titanium shafts from Creeperbob.
If you buy it from RC4WD it comes with the shafts, their upper link mount and bearing caps I believe. And it's well priced.
We do the custom centered housings for a cleaner look or to make them hybrids(mix and match material)

Thank You, I like what you do with the AX10 upper truss and the welded links mount. I think they look better and cleaner.
