cboggs' DOMINATOR Bully 2

Hi Cbogg,

The Jconcepts Scorpio looks great, they are not very wide aren't they? They look narrower than the normal (unmolested voodoo)?

Have you run them? How did it goes? What foam did you use?

I reckon a shave of side wall and cut the side biters they will be a good alternative to the Voodoo or skinny rover.

They are narrower than a stock Voodoo and will take the CI 6.0 foams. I haven't run them yet since the weather here has sucked but will get tested at our comp on Saturday. I agree on the cut and shave on these, also cutting lugs will be just like doing pins. I'll give my thoughts on these this weekend."thumbsup"

Here's my thoughts on the Scorpio's, they don't work as well as pins! I ran them for 2 coarses before busting those wheels I was testing, changed them out to my Bully 2 pins and was a night and day difference. They just don't have the grip the pins had, spun a lot and really have to work at getting up climbs. They will need some serious modding and breaking in to get them working like I wished, trimming lugs and shaving sidewalls, maybe even a slight narrow job.

But hey, you can drive around on your lid just fine!

Sucks the Wheels broke

Yeah, I knew they would though. I get asked about making the Negative Space wheels so often I wanted to try and see if a slight change would improve durability, needless to say they will not ever be made again.

Just need to find some unatanium to make them from first then you might have a chance!"thumbsup"

There have been a few sets for sale recently but almost everyone has broken them eventually. Just not enough material for them to hold I think. Shame really cause they are bad ass looking wheels!"thumbsup"

The Scorpio lacks serious grip. Even with mine narrowed and lugs cut.

I like this in the rear though. I like not having so much grip. What they lack in grip in the rear, they make up for in height and also mine are so stiff that they hold that height under the cars weight.

I just wouldnt run these tires on slick rock but on really grippy rock, I dont think they can be beat.

Swapped in the new updated chassis with new CF braces keyed into the chassis. Also running a new setup thanks to Snatch. Skid is moved up in the rear and upper links moved up one hole, also moved the rear shocks back one hole so they aren't layed down as much. You may also see our new "Bandit" wheels that we will be releasing along with the "24 spoke" that was on it previously. We've been running them for awhile now without any issues. This rig is really performing good! Sorry for the bad pic...
