Btw, you could always cut the nub off of the end of the servo arm, I do that to mine.

Thanks Justin! I'll be assembling the body mounts today! But the body still needs to be cut up and I don't really want to do that on my kitchen counter.

I was thinking about that. The one in the front has the nub trimmed, I might just switch them so I can run the tie rod behind as well.

ToyZuki Transfer Case.


Nice and simple packaging!


I did the installation instructions for this a little funky. I assembled the whole t-case as is and then went back and installed the gears and bearings later.

Standoffs with the holes in them go on the bottom.


Installed the top standoffs.


Gotta get those ISO view shots!

Transfer case assembly time!

I started to put the transfer case together a while ago, need to find where those pics are. But anyways, take your transfer case and then you'll need the following parts:
AX30408
These should all be from your existing transmission (but if you want to purchase what I used):
2 5x10x4 Bearings
2 8x16x5 Bearings
AX30394
Robinson Racing Hardened Aluminum Diff Gear
AX30435
AX30162



T-case partially assembled.


Time to put some bearings in, I recommend doing this before putting the posts on.


One side done.


Onto the next side.


Grab the AX30408 shaft, the 1.5mm pin, the top gear and the two o-rings from the t-case package.


Assemble the shaft with both o-rings on the back side of the top gear where the pin is (this is done so you can mount any drive shaft with out having to modify it).


Put the assembled top shaft into the top bearing, I like to put it in o-ring side down for easier assembly. Also at this time you'll have to decide which way you want your input shaft to stick out.


Put the assembled output gear in the lower bearing (make sure the output shafts are aligned with the gear properly, mine wasn't and I had to adjust it).


Assembled transfer case!


Stainless steel screws because I'm weird.


Much better! (yes I didn't replace the bearing holder screws)


Decided to assemble my body mounts. These will need to be trimmed up at some point but they are functional as is.

Note: my motor mount is painted black and my hardware and bearings probably look different than the supplied hardware and bearings. How I painted my motor mount

And spur gear and slipper eliminator installed. I didn't install the nut because I still need to take off the 48p spur gear and install a 32p spur.

My wheels are finished! The ones on the right are for C3 and the ones on the left are for C2!

Soldered up all my electronics last night (minus the BEC, I'm still undecided if I want to run two 10A BECs or one 20A BEC Pro).
Electronics I'm using:
Holmes Hobbies 35T TorqueMaster Pro
Tekin FXR
Holmes Hobbies Mini BR-XL as a winch controller


Also decided to stuff the CI foams into tires.
I'll be using 2.2 Pitbull Growlers (four 2mm vent holes) and 5.5 CI foams, softs in the front and mediums in the rear.


These ones were pretty easy to stuff compared to my 1.55 growlers.


They are all ready to be mounted on the wheels that arrive today, although sadly the beadlock rings don't arrive till Thursday.

Thanks! As soon as I found out you could mount up VP rings to DCW wheels I bought the wheels and traded for the rings. Will be a great match with the paint I will be using and match my C1 truck :D

Haha, I feel like that looks like a lot of guys work area.

My new to me 2.2 Pro, I fiddled around with this yesterday instead of working on my trucks for Nationals :lmao:


I did finish mounting the other two wheels and tires though! :mrgreen:

I'm pretty stoked about it!

Lexan electronics plate

Needed to whip up a quick electronics plate. Using some lexan I had left over from make my seats. It's about 1" wide and 2.75" long. Bends will be a .25" from each end.


These hand seamers are really nice for bending lexan. ~$10 from harbor freight.


Decided to make another little mount for the Holmes hobbies mini BR-XL to allow it to fit a little better:


Decided that this time I'd do a better job gluing the two pieces together.
The hole is so I can route my bypass plugs up to the RX.


Using shoe goo and a popsicle stick. Plus a glove since I hate getting shoe goo off my hands.


Applied to both sides and let it sit for about 5 minutes to get nice and tacky.


Finished product!


Assembly time!

RC 4x4 Performance tie rod. I suck at making bends and it is nice and beefy!

I get to take all this and assemble it!


Forgot that I needed to clock the C-hubs forward one spline. Took the whole thing apart. :mad:


Stick the delrin beef tubes and c-hubs in a vice with the c-hubs resting on the vice jaws.


Some tools to whack the tube!


Knocked it almost all the way off, I can then take it off by hand and clock it one spline forward.


Reassembled!


Roller-ish status.

Why did you clock them back so much

For steering and negative camber while turning.

They were clocked back further for a different truck that had some funky steering on it.
