that's bad to the bone man!!!!the scale heim joints and scale hardware make the biggest diffrance!!!!!

Thanks man! Glad you enjoy it!

:flipoff:Ehhh it's looks ok I guess

Yeah it's not bad :flipoff:

where did you get the scale hardware from locked up rc? which kit thread pitch for the mayhems i need to do the same for my mayhem wheels

2-56 x 7mm scale bolts from locked up RC

love this thing coming along good "thumbsup"

Thanks!

Need to powder coat the links. Let me hear some input!

1. Powder coat them Aluminum

2. Powder coat them Chrome

3. Strip and polish them and powder coat them clear

What do you guys think?

That's a tough one man... If it were my scale rig I'd either go with a natural satin-type finish, a natural polished look, or chassis-black... But that's just me. I guess it depends if you wanna beat the pee-pee out of it, or sit and stroke on it lovingly for hours? lol. I'd just hit the links with some Wizards polish and call 'er golden, but that's my "works" style shining through I guess lol

The links are steel and will rust. Aluminum powdercoat will probably have that satin finish to it, but I can also polish them and bake with clear coat.

I'm going to run it a lot, but I'll also be stroking it afterwards haha

Yeah unless he can make some links out of ti.

Tapping Ti with a 3mm x0.5 tap is nearly impossible unless you use a specialized head that costs about $930.

I want the links to rust where they get scratched, just don't want the entire link to look like a rusty trombone haha

This is just a cosmetic thing, I love the steel links

I just thought of 40-Year-Old Virgin lmao... Anywho... Greenie has steel links as well and I may try an experiment on 'er... From my experience at work, if you hit bare metal with a corrosion inhibitor like Kroil for example, then it doesn't rust. I know it would be some minor upkeep, but it's a thought for us poor mechanics lol.

Never tried Kroil but I do have CorrosionX. Either way it's not a big deal to powdercoat these if they're going to look bad ass

I'm thinking about just polishing them and clear coating. I like the bare metal look

I'm still alive. Just out-processing from the military

BUT.

PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE

Stay tuned my friends 8)

Somewhat there "thumbsup"

Steering all sorted out  those HEIM joints don't have a lot of range, but she's bind free

The neither region

Don said you have to get up there somehow

Itching to scratch that belly

Springs are nice

Precision, scale, stance, attention to detail, appearance, scale (said scale twice) hardware, heim joints, paint, suspension geometry oh - and freakin awesome. This one of those, bar raising builds. Take a 1:1 and send it through a shrinking machine......That good!
