Did Fourwheeler just kill TTC, or save it?

That was a good one!

The chopped up Suburbans... the Jimmy's, the Zuks, the CJs... all cool. I kind of lost interest when the tire size got above 44"

I liked seeing the well built rigs that most people could afford to build. And I really liked the old obstacle course. It was pretty cool to see Sam Patton hanging the rear of his CJ out on the high speed sandy turns.
Or how about Sam straddling the engine of his CJ, spraying Chem-Tool in the carb, while his co-dog cranked the engine so he could make the last 50 ft of the tank trap. :ror:

That's because jeeps are the easiest thing to mod. Everything has been done multiple times - multiple ways and is documented 7 different ways.
Don't get me wrong there is a special place in my heart for them.

Hey look at that.....the first 5 are jeeps!
Shannon Campbells "Jeep" had a custom tube frame, full width truck axles, a chevy V8, a chevy transmission, and hand made body panels.

Geby Wager's "Jeep" had Gamma Goat independent suspension, a cadillac motor, a Ford trans, and an NP205 t-case from a full size truck.

It's funny what Jeep guys will claim as a Jeep. :ror:

But the body is what really matters here, right? "thumbsup"

1:1s have always been classed by what it looks like not what's under the panels.
Take a Suzuki and put full Toyota running gear - axles and all under it. You'll still did it posted on pirate4x4 in the Suzuki section.
Because you modified a zuk with toy parts - but I guess you could mod a toy to look like a zuk.
It's all in how you go about it.

I just think it's kinda dumb. Why start with a vehicle with no useful parts except the body, made by a manufacturer who doesn't make anything else useful enough to put under it.:ror:

That's why I started with a Bronco, I may upgrade parts, but they will be Ford parts and therefore I can still legitimately call my Bronco a Bronco.

I know, I know, I read too deep into things. Meh, it's what I do......8):ror:
