ok, i have a dx3.0, sr3000, and just picked up an R2 with dig, although not the best dig setup iv heard, the price was right,

my question is with the dx3.0 it is only 2 position switch, is it possible to run rear dig function, off this radio?, even if it didnt do all 3 modes on tranny, can it be setup to only run full lock out and 4x4?

i couldnt find any threads with that, only converting 2 to 3 pos , and that only works on the dx3,

or am i still screwed, i am looking to get a 4 PL, just having 4 kids and such makes another $200 really hard

especially after dumpin $700 or so into a shafty, i was like oh, i cant do a berg right now, its gonna cost too much, i'll save up"thumbsup""thumbsup"

now here i am a month later and 700 more into this thing!!!

thanks for the input

Yea shouldnt be an issue at all just have to set your end points as needed, ive never used the radio so i cant really help on how to but should be possible. I think some ppl even add a 3 pos switch to this radio i could be wrong though.

Yeah with a 2pos you just set the end points for locked and drive. "thumbsup"

I ran a dx3.0 with an HR dig on my ax10.. Worked fine. Again, it's all about end point adjustment.. With my low quality HR dig I needed a full size servo to force it in and out of gear..

i was hoping to use a hitec hs-55, but if not i have a hs-325? i think it is? hopefully the little guy has the grunt!!

I burned up a Traxxas mini servo on my dig.. Not sure how your mini servo compares and maybe your dig will be better.. I know the quality digs like the vp dig, do just fine on a mini servo.

i think i might abandon this r2, and got with the VP dig, and VP tranny case, so I got half way into putting this in the truck, the delrin skid is REALLY wide, and to narrow it up would be pointless, might as well just make one

i also didnt realise when i bought it that the motor is mounted on dig side........lame, i could prolly mod it to the front, then dick around with moving the servo......bla bla blah......

are these trannys even worth the effort........a quick search after the fact says no.......

so ya.......$60 down the shoot......
