Dlux custom knuckles V2!

Hey Erik, I didn't see this asked anywhere in this thead. I have a Losi MRC that I did the XR10 steering conversion to. My question is, will these weights work with most 1.9 wheels? I'm having DUUUUUUUUUUUDE make some 0 offset wheels for it.
Thanks,

I wouldnt say they work with most 1.9 wheels. They do work with some. The thing you need to look for is that the back side of the wheel will need to be at least 1.5" diameter to clear the weight. Even at that size, it will take some work. Something like 1.75" on the back would be closer to ideal.

Ok, thanks for the info."thumbsup"

I would be happy to make them if there was interest. I am sure you can understand that it is hard to put time into making a new product if you only expect to sell 2 or 3 though. If you can show me interest, I will make them.

Ask Duuuuuude to clearence the back to the largest size possible. Mine cleared after I shaved the leading edges on the top and bottom of the knuckles. It's a little extra work but it's worth it in the end.
Check out my Another 1.9 Wraith thread for pics.

I just got my first set of these after drooling over them for a while. I'm very impressed with their fit and finish and they were much easier to assemble than I thought. So many great design upgrades, bearings on the kingpins, bigger bearings inside and out, modular design to switch from 8 degree to non 8 degree. I love the fact that I can remove and install the pin and my clamping hexes so easily. That's one thing that bothered me about the style that attaches to the knuckle with a hanger system. You have to completely remove the steering links, hangers, and weights just to access the hex and pin, no more. Another big plus is, I more than doubled the weight on each side from my previous setup yet gained clearance to be able to drop one size on the SLW hub. This one piece weighted knuckle is awesome.

Thanks for posting up! They look great. Its nice to see them mounted to some scale chubs. You dont see that very often.

I think you will really like the durability of these. Those bearings are a huge upgrade on the AR60 version. I dont think you will ever have a problem with them again. The other benefits are a huge plus.

I am not sure where people are talking about these but the AR60 version is really selling in the last couple of months. In the past, I have sold the 8mm version 5:1 over the AR60 version but now its much more like 10:1 in the other direction. Now I just need to get people to see the benefits of the 8mm stub and have them go back to the 8mm knuckles. LOL

Either way, thanks for posting up and glad you like them so far.

Is a 8mm AR60 rear axle possible? If so, maybe a kit that would convert the front and rear of a Wraith/Bomber to 8mm axles while keeping the stock width would encourage people. Having all the parts together in 1 product makes it easy and people are more likely to go with easy.

Its possible but would be a lot amount of work with unknown pay off.

I am not sure why you were asking about the front and rear being 8mm. If its to have a stronger rear shaft, then its a great idea. If you were asking because you think they might need to be the same for some reason, there is no real benefit that I can see to having them the same. Both axles work the same way really.

Thats what I was wondering.

If you want the same attachment style front and rear, you can simply use the 12mm hex for the 8mm shaft and then use a SLW hub or the like on front and rear.

Facebook. Been pushing them and answering questions and they are picking up steam. Especially on Axial and U4 pages. They really are the best option available and now that they are 1.9 scale legal they can be found on pretty much everything.
