Dlux custom knuckles V2!

I thought you were out! LOL.

If they are "picking up steam" I am in trouble. I cant keep up as it is. I am about to get some help with that though.

Thanks for the help Chad!

Selling 4 sets of them and the bombshell buggy build brought some good attention to the Dlux name.

And you only got yourself to blame. Quit making high quality shit :flipoff:

No, I dont want to confuse it anymore than I have. Just send a PM if you need some arms.

I installed those on my rig and i was able to use SSD Trail 1.9 steel wheels and Vanquish SLW hubs without issues:

They won't fit with the stock SSD hubs though

Tried several other 1.9 wheels, but no luck

Thanks for the report! I always have questions on fitment so its great to have the feedback in here.

Hallo Erik,

you do not know me but I bought already something from you not long ago, I live in Italy.

I made up my mind and want to buy your knuckles for my recent build (proto based on SCX)

I have the front axle upgraded with RCbros Brass Burly Beef Splined Tubes (standard SCX10 width) to allow myself to mount Wraith’s C-Hubs and Knuckles

Now I decided I need more weight upfront, in Italy additional knuckles' weights are not allowed in the SORRCA regulation, therefore I thought I may get your knuckles

Following the configuration I was thinking should suit my rig, though I would like to ask you 2 questions:

Configuration I selected from your website:

Knuckles - Dlux

Cod. Art. 00111 Weight 5.00 oz

Knuckle material: Brass;

Which stub shaft?: Wraith/XR;

Which c-hub?: Wraith/XR;

Upper arm style: 1 single, 1 double ended;

Upper arms: Carbon Fiber;

Lower arms: Carbon Fiber

The Questions are:

1 - Is the configuration actually compatible with the axles I have with Wraith’s C.Hubs?

I post a picture..

2 – How long will it take you to build the knuckles and ship them to Spartanburg SC 29306 in US? (a friend of mine would pick up the parts and take them to me but there is a time constrain so I first ask. Parts should be in SC 29306 within Sept 23…is this feasible?

Many thanks in advance for your kind reply, I hope you will read and reply this post soon

Yes, the options you have on the knuckles look to be correct and will work on those axles.

I have the knuckles youre looking for in stock and can ship ASAP. The shipping should not take more than a couple of days so if you can get them ordered, it should not be a problem.

Thanks a lot for your kind reply! "thumbsup"

Just waiting for an additional info from a friend of mine (actually it is about the new SORRCA 2017 regulation/rules that might change the specification about additional weight on knuckles)

Just placed my order, hope you can ship it soon!
thanks a lot

Thank you Pabust, now that I know these will fit inside my SSD trail readys, I need to get another set. What size SLWs did you need?

I use SLW 475 hubs:

I haven't tried a shorter hub there so i don't know if it will fit

My wheels don't have external beadlock rings, if they had it this knuckle will not fit

Lots of questions over the last couple weeks of if my knuckles will work on an SCXII.

The SCX chub measures about .007 taller than an AX10 chub, thats about 2 pieces of paper thick.

I got a set of stock chubs and they ended up fitting really well with no issues at all. Some of this is due to the ears of the chub sitting fully within the inner bearing so its able to be taller. I am not sure if every brand is like this but if not, worse case you could lightly file your chubs or make some shims to go under the arms out of paper.

What you would need to order:
Knuckles for a XR/Wraith shaft
AX10 chub setup

Who is going to be the first to put these on an SCXII? Maybe somebody already figured this out and has them on their car?

I just put a pic of the half/half up with the rest of the weights. Its sitting at 2.1oz.

I think it would be beneficial to figure out what weight knuckle to get and have the bottom half fully loaded with rings all the way out to the wheel. I know I am different and have different tastes but I just dont understand wasting or not using space on the bottom half of the knuckle. I personally dont see a single draw back to having the bottom half of your knuckles fully loaded. To each their own though. All roads lead to Rome, right?

Having said that, my advice would be to get a 7075 knuckle with brass slugs and then load up the bottom half with brass rings. That should get you really close to where you want to be. It would be ridiculously strong and all the weight would be in the right place. A full 7075 would only have about 7g more weight on the upper half than Delrin and if you can afford to be a bit lighter, the full delrin would be sweet since you get no weight on the top and can fully load the bottom half with rings and slugs if that will get you where you want.

Obviously these knuckles are about options. Let me know if I can help along the way.

Let me know. I just happen to have a set sitting right here. :mrgreen:

Do you sell the brass rings?

Do you know max weight you can pack inside a Crawler Innovations 1" wheel on an XR axle?
