Dlux custom knuckles V2!

Hey Aaron,

What type of car or axles will you be using this on?

The Mayhem wheels might cause some issues with my Delrin hubs. Mayhem uses a different bolt pattern than the typical SLW wheels do. Depending on the type of car and how wide you want to be, you might want me to make some custom 0 offset hubs out of 7075 aluminum. If this is the case, all I would need to know is the bolt pattern and I should be able to make some. You could also try the Delrin hubs and drill the hub bolts yourself?

Another option is to go back to a more typical hex setup. You could get a hex from a Bully axle and that would allow you to use the Mayhem hub that you already have. Supershafty.com also used to make a hex for a 8mm axle shaft, you might want to ask him.

More than one person has had a hard time figuring out the way the Delrin hub works. Here are some pictures and instructions. Pretty simple once you do it one time.

For Wraith based axles and the OFNA stub, you can run my custom 0 offset as decribed above (PM me for this option). This would put you pretty ballpark around 11.25" wide.

You could go to a hex and a 225 SLW hub or my 225 Delrin hub and that would put you ballpark at 11.6" wide.

Possibly because I am doing this on my phone, but I can't find the website that I know exist....

Any pics of this 'double arm'? I'm considering doing this on a rig or two. PMing you more details =)

I hope Erik do not mind. The bottom part in the picture is a double arm.

Great product Erik, I'm building a 1.9 scaler and I don't know what to order. This is what I'm using: axial scx10 housing with the narrow xr10 steering conversion. I want it as strong as it can be. Hope this is enough info for you to answer for me.

You will want to match the knuckle with the type of stub shaft you have. Sounds like you have XR stub shafts so you want the XR version of my knuckles. Sounds like you also have XR/Wraith chubs so you would want to add that option also.

To add to the confusion..... if you want the strongest option possible, you would want to upgrade to the OFNA version.

If you want the OFNA version, yes.

I also sell the OFNA shafts on my web site that are cut to length for XR 10 or Wraith I would also be happy to cut them to any length you want if you have something custom.

Thanks for getting back to me Erik. I think when I get the money I will go with the XR10 set up.

Can you make a set for these? RC4WD Black Widow Crawler Axle. I have 2 of these, and would like to use one of them on my current build in stead of the XR10 set-up. Sorry for all the questions. By the way I still have a pair of your Losi chrome moly worm gears.

Its possible to make them for that axle. First off, you would need to run either an OFNA or XR/Wraith stub shaft. If you can do that, then all we would have to do is make it fit the chub.

I could even make some custom knuckles for different axles even if you dont use those stub shafts. I can make these knuckles fit pretty much anything but there has to be some sort of demand so I can justify my time that would need to go into them. If there is no demand, then I can still do them but the cost of producing them would come back to you.

I have always wanted to make some for the new Bully2 or a Losi comp crawler but since I dont get any interest about those axles, they have not happened.

OK Erik, sounds like this would be a one off, so I guess we will pass on taking a shot at it. Thanks again for answering all my questions, what great customer service!!!

For those running ofna stubs, are they only for the front axles, or also for the rears?

If you are planning on running them for rear steer, they would be the same. If you dont have rear steer, I have some similar shafts for the rear of a Berg.

Erik ,, I recently placed an order ( last night) and I wanted to make sure my order would be compatible with my Axial XR shafts? I assumed they were other than Offna and marked it so on the order. I'll be putting mine in a 2.2 Scaler with the AX axle conversion using CreationFab tubes for XR/Wraith steering. .. Thanks Norm

Yep, they are made to work with the XR/Wraith stub shafts.

Yours were shipped yesterday so you should have them soon. Thanks for the order!
