Love that vid. Just a bit of info, I had two friends set the records for fastest hellcats weekend before last. Rick Ellison went 9.5 in his auto HC challenger and Jon Sipple went 10.61 in his stick HC Challenger. Very impressive.

I kinda have to wonder if that Dodge ad was inspired by this Mustang ad........but cranked to 11:twisted:

Mustang failed the test to become a Highway Patrol car in Australia
due to overheating brakes , trans and engine

Yet our Aussie built Falcon passed,
yet is being Discontinued at the end of this year

I heard about that, although I'm surprised that they didn't improve it any before handing it over for Police testing. Most of our police vehicles have heavy duty components to compensate for the hard abuse they will see as police vehicles, I'd be surprised that those built for such use in Australia haven't been beefed up even more so to deal with the much warmer weather than we get here.

Yeah it failed the 1st test so it was sent back
But apparently it failed the 2nd test aswell

Although the whole thing was probabley handled by Ford Australia
And they couldn,t organize a root in a brothel

so much better than chevrolets "real people real awards" bull shit.

Yeah kinda cool. Kinda. Doesn't the Mustang have a trans brake?

no it had a line lock.

i just finished watching the 1.5 hour reveal on YT. the live aspect was ackward as usual, but the way they made it an event was pretty cool.
i mean burn outs and a launch indoors live infront of a audience. pretty cool.
again well done dodge. you know how to hype, advertise, and sell shit.
everyone will know what a hellcat/demon is. even people that dont give a crap about american v8 stuff. thats when you know doing it right.

Just read it's banned by the NHRA cause it runs quick enough that they require a cage and window net. That's a bit of misleading marketing hype right there.

Well yea... what the fawk else would they have banned it for? Too shiny of paint or too quiet of horn? Of course it was because it's too fast without safety equipment. :lmao:

Break into the 11's in a "normal" street/strip car and they'll kick you for not having a cage. The newer cars like the copo camaro, challenger/charger and whatever they're calling the fast mustang these days get by with 10 second runs because they're factory cars, not hopped up standard cars.
